Oh I did hear that once, I’d forgotten it! So so glad the author changed his mind, because I love her in season 3 so much!

Kel

That's a lot to type 🤣

Oh, yes, the sweet tears of heartbreak, V is one of us now, she has joined us and paid her dues as an Attack on Titan fan, even though we all grieved Erwin, this is the death that hits the worst. Yep, out of all the characters, Sasha dying was the least expected to me, even though Isayama meant to kill Sasha back in her season 2 episode and the editor stopped him, even though there are actual foreshadowing moments in both this episode and the last. The moment when our favorite trio, Jean, Connie and Sasha are hugging and saying how much they mean to each other. The moment last episode when Sasha kills Gabi's gate-guard friends, and they stare each other down in shock, disbelief, grief. The fact that Sasha is one with near superhearing powers, all throughout the show, and here she is the one that hears the thump as Falco and Gabi reach the airship and board it, that was the moment I knew Sasha was gonna be singled out for something heartbreaking. They did not throw the kids out the airship 'cause Jean stood up for them, wisely realizing that killing will not stop following the path of vengeance and grief, they were forced to this after by Eren. Not that the devils of Paradis in the airship don't wanna kill the two children after getting Sasha killed. Jean, being one the main crowd who knows what's up, knowing why Annie and Bert and Reiner did what they did and knowing how they were child soldiers brainwashed by their society and culture, Jean realizes it is the same for Falco and Gabi. Not to say there is no animosity for what Gabi did, and WE know Falco knows better. Notice how ironic that Jean meant to kill Falco last episode, and missed because of Pieck, and Falco is the one that pushed Gabi away just in time for her to miss also shooting Jean to death by a mere millimeter.

This episode is so sad, I cry everytime Sasha is on screen now, such a joyous and brave character. Great reaction Vee

Even though it's not a positive feeling we feel when we watch this episode or when we watch someone react to it, the fact that it can make us feel these emotions is the reason we watch. I think I can say that about the entire series, but in episodes like this one especially. The characters are so well-written that they feel like real people to me. So of course, losing Sasha was very tough, but I'm glad I got to know her.

The whole world was already at War thanks to Willy Tybur's Declaration of War

Ooh twitter/internet went into chaos when this ep dropped, with Gabi taking the brunt of it. Anyways, can't wait for your reaction to future episodes. Can't say it gets better tbh XD

Zeke has never been pro-Marley. But, he genuinely hates Grisha but, loves Eren. Zeke plays the long-game. He knew he had royal blood and knew why he could make Titans.

Beautiful reaction Miss V.

The author originally planned to kill Sasha around Season 2 when she rescues the little girl from the titan, but the editor ran to the bathroom crying when he saw the first copy so he changed it. That's why she has little to no presence in the remainder of Season 2/no lines until Season 3, the author planned for her to be dead.

It's awesome seeing your appreciation of Jean's character, even in S1 where you had positive thoughts surrounding him- I myself found it difficult to appreciate his character, given his pretty rude attitude to begin with lol. But this episode is the testament to his brilliance. His best friend got killed, and he still has the maturity to keep a cool head, continue leading (aka not spending time with Sasha in her last moments), and not throw Gabi and Falco out, even with everyone screaming to do so. My heart hurts for Conny. RIP to their trio. PAIN! (PS, two episodes released in one go- awesome! Really enjoyed these reactions to the best episodes in fictional history that I'd seen when I first watched them.)

Sasha’s death completely sideswiped me when I first watched. She was one of my favorites from the moment we met her, and I’m sure the author chose her to die because she was so beloved, I don’t know anyone who’s ever watched the anime or read the manga who didn’t love her. It shattered all of us (and you too 🥺). I still cry every time I watch this episode. And the only reason the kids weren’t thrown off the ship is because Jean wouldn’t let them. He’s like Armin in the mindset of just wanting all the killing to stop. You’re right, he really has become such a strong leader. My respect for him really grew a lot during this arc. I’m really excited that we got two episodes today, but sorry it ended on such a sad note for you. 💔 RIP Potato Girl. We will never forget you

this just had me laughing trough the pain knowing its only gonna get worse 💀

Sasha death completely overshadows the info that this whole rescue op was Zeke's idea. Remember how Zeke was being so careful in meetings with the other Titans, knowing their meeting room was bugged?

Raptor

Oh my gosh we get TWO episodes today???? My heart is full. 🩶

Kel

This episode broke my heart. I want to comment on what Eren did but can't do it now. I'm very sad.

Gaby was the most hated character because of this episode
