In the end, at least Zofia had rock-solid character development. (Sorry, terrible joke to distract me from all the trauma)

2024-01-25 14:29:10 +0000 UTCIts just that using past knowledge of how Eren acted then seeing how behaves now. They don't match up. Eren knows something he hasn't shared. He is too calm. He knows what he is doing and the consequences of his actions. He is getting reprimanded by people that don't have all the info he has. You can see it. He is pushing people away on purpose. When Eren has the correct info, he makes the right decision. He made bad choices in the first season, realized the consequences of those choices, learned that people with more info and experience than him knew what they were doing when he chose to disobey them. Thinking he is just being reckless and acting on passion, not caring about the consequences is just not character growth. And he clearly has had some growth. As far as we know, Eren is the only one in history that has the combined powers. He knows he is only that can do something about the state of the world. Truly do something important. I see a man that knows what has to be done, right now. Now is going the way of Thanos? lol, idk.

But he’s shown over time that he is smart and I for one sometimes fall into that thinking where reckless=stupid. You’re absolutely right, though. He is quite intelligent.

They really are similar to a degree in temperament, and you know how hard it has to be on Armin to kill others when all he wants is peace and to believe that humanity can do better. And now I want to know what you were going to say about Jean and the new look. 😂 I love him with long hair personally, you know he’s all about looking good. I remember at this point in my first watch being positive that Jean, Reiner, and Levi would be dead before the story was done. Obviously I won’t spoil you either way, but it’s interesting that we both focused on Jean and Levi. I think because we love them so much. 🥹

Though previously unavailable with the island's technology, the gear includes semi-automatic pistols, special swords, and some soldiers are even armed with fire shells, enabling superior anti-personnel and anti-Titan combat.

2024-01-24 22:49:27 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say Eren's actions and choices don't effect him. Eren is in a very tough position. He is causing many deaths, true. But Eren has the Founding Titan and we still don't know what he went through over the last 4 years. Eren is making some heavy choices. Heavier than we have been informed of up to this point. I say that because Eren is intelligent; reckless maybe, but intelligent and has the look of a man burdened with big picture thinking and responsibilities, imho. Also, again I haven't seen much further than this. Maybe like 6 more episodes ahead of this one is as far as I have watched. SO, idk everything but as I understand it. If Eren keeps collecting Titan powers, I don't think that means they are lost forever, at present. If Eren dies without being eaten by another Eldian, the titan power is then past on to the very next Eldian born. I can see it being very possible that the powers would divide up again across the next handful of Eldians born, too, because of the will of Ymir, who divided them in the first place. The big question would then be where were they born. On the mainland or on the island? But again, idk, lol.
