Yes magnets wipe hard drives. The writers know what they are doing and something like that is well known to occur.

2024-12-14 04:43:07 +0000 UTCYeah the "I am the danger" speech, began to open her eyes at the monster he is becoming, and hearing how Gus was taken out, would be terrifying to dwell upon, that your husband was capable of blowing up nursing homes just to get some drug dealers, all for money she doesn't really want. She tried to keep him grounded these past two years, but is now incapable of it, as he throws himself and his family over the cliff.

You're now trapped in a house with him, with literally nobody to confide in. And he comes in and says "I forgive you" as if she's guilty of something worse than the things he is guilty of. Taking Gus down gave him the biggest boost of ego possible. Now that he can finally express the villainous, egotistical maniac he's always been at heart, he's addicted to the feeling of power it gives him.

2023-11-22 23:01:18 +0000 UTCLETS GOOOOOOooooo Computers and magnets - computers are actually very easily damaged by even a weak magnet, especially if they have a disc harddrive (which is pretty much the only type of HDs available during the 2000s). That magnet would literally erase the hard drive of any computer caught in it's magnetic field. Even modern harddrives can be damaged beyond repair with the right magnet.

This is one of the only shows where I love seeing the bad guy do bad guy things😂 Walt will not return to normal, this is Breaking Bad, so get that notion out your head. xD

2023-11-22 21:58:33 +0000 UTCI can't believe you actually said at the beginning that it would be about Walt returning to normal. 😂 Ain't no way V, he poisoned a child, like seriously the man doesn't deserve normal. He deserves to have it blow up in his face. That goes to show how good the writing is, and of course, Bryan Cranstons performance is just on another level. Him saying "because I say so" and just intimidating Saul in his own office shows that Walt is going off the rails. Now that he's not in danger, and there's no one to challenge him, he can be the man he's always wanted to be. Can't wait for the rest of the season, V!

I remember you saying you get even more emotional when you finally finish a series and I’m sure this one will be no different. 2023-11-22 19:41:20 +0000 UTCAnd starts the greatest season in television history. Vince believed in writing the character's stories as they went along instead of start to finish. They'd back a character into a corner organically and spend hrs & hrs in the writing room figuring ways they could make an out. At the time of shooting this episode they had no plan for how the M60 gun from the cold open would make it's return to the story. The fact that they can just sprinkle in tools to a scene whether it's objects or something a character says as they go along and then come back to them full circle in such a clever & holistic way makes it feel as if it was all planned from the start. Part of the magic of this show.
