🎃✨Classic Horror Film poll✨🎃
Added 2023-10-11 19:34:19 +0000 UTCHi everyone!!✨🎃🔮
Hey!! So just to let you guys know this was originally poll #1 but I’ll be changing the names for the HalloVeen polls!!✨🎃
So last week the Texas Chainsaw Massacre won the poll! I absolutely loved (and hated it because it will scar me)😂. Since Interview with a Vampire was SO CLOSE TO WINNING, I took it off the list because I will be watching it regardless!
As usual I filter out the films I have already seen on my own and BECAUSE there were so many great suggestions that got me HYPE for this upcoming month, i breakthis down into *two* separate polls! We'll be alternating as we usually do so we get the best of both worlds.😊
This poll (which was Poll #1) will consist of more older/classical horror films. :)
October is my absolutely favorite month of the year, as well as horror being my favorite genre - so this is gonna be a huge month! I'm really happy to jump into the spirit🥰🥰
Let me know how you guys are enjoying Halloveen so far and if there's anything specific you'd like to see!🥰🍂🔮
🖤🧡Thank you all!!🧡🖤

2023-10-12 10:49:05 +0000 UTCI feel like Ginger Snaps is the kind of amazing film that could easily fly under the radar as it's probably not widely known haha.

2023-10-12 09:43:46 +0000 UTCI voted Evil Dead 2, but I hope The Omen wins someday. David Warner is a legend!

2023-10-12 05:29:41 +0000 UTCGinger Snaps, The Fog, and 30 Days of Night are the best films in this poll.

2023-10-12 04:00:46 +0000 UTCWhen I first saw VHS I was blown away. I love horror anthologies and we have so few great ones. I love how anthologies give multiple directors and writers a chance to get their vision out there. Blade is fine, imho, idc if its a horror or not; its about vampires after all, lol. Although Blade and Evil Dead 2 are drastically different, i can honestly see them grouped in the same bundle very easily. They both have plenty of humor, in different styles of humor, of course. Evil Dead 2 is slapstick, Blade has action film humor. Autopsy of Jane Doe is incredible for such a small known film. I love plays and theater productions. The Autopsy of Jane Doe has this great closed environment feeling with its handful of set locations, like a play.

2023-10-11 21:33:42 +0000 UTCI mean, Disney-owned Marvel made The Punisher (the show). Marvel Television made The Punisher, Marvel Television was a Disney company. Being distributed by Netflix doesn't mean Disney didn't make it, they did. Disney's owned Marvel since 2009, there's been plenty of good Marvel stuff since 2009.

2023-10-11 21:29:12 +0000 UTCSince Scream already ruined Friday the 13th's ending for you, I see no reason why it's on the poll. I'd rather vote for The Amityville Horror(1979), Hellraiser(1987) or Candyman(1992)

2023-10-11 21:04:28 +0000 UTCLet's go Blade! Before Marvel got all disney-fied lol

2023-10-11 20:58:23 +0000 UTCCatching up with VK's "I need to watch more 70's horror!" comment on the Texas Chainsaw reaction-- And The Omen is one of the best examples of what happened when big studios in the 70's didn't do horror often, but when they did, pitched it to a mainstream audience expecting something professional, with real stars, production value, and music. It's what I picture when I talk about a good-LOOKING main-studio horror.

2023-10-11 20:56:32 +0000 UTCThe Mist (2007) might be a fun stephen king movie reaction

2023-10-11 20:50:46 +0000 UTCBlade isn't a horror lol but still a good film. I feel like you seen it since you know about the blood rave so it wouldnt really be a blind watch no?

2023-10-11 20:43:14 +0000 UTCGinger Snaps will never win but it is such a great feminist piece of horror. I adore that entire series.

2023-10-11 20:42:33 +0000 UTCyeah it’s marvel. Marvel always wins.

2023-10-11 20:42:14 +0000 UTCBlade is winning? REALLY? There is nothing scary about that in any way.

2023-10-11 20:11:49 +0000 UTCI like the all the options, but my vote went to Friday the 13th in the hopes that you could get a foothold in the iconic series... And so I could maybe read lore comments from my fellow patreon viewers when it is shown.

2023-10-11 20:09:51 +0000 UTCPrince of Darkness was one of the most surprisingly unsettling movies I've seen in the last couple years. Don't expect it to win the poll, but I'm happy about its inclusion. One of Carpenter's best IMO.

2023-10-11 20:09:31 +0000 UTCI agree that PSYCHO II deserves some love. It's honestly a better movie than it should have been, considering the legacy of the original film.

2023-10-11 20:00:20 +0000 UTCNow that every reactor in the world has watched Psycho, it's good to see Psycho 2 getting some more well-deserved respect this time around. And it's always good to see at least one reactor discover The Omen every year... And yes, even I had to IMDb what the heck "A Bay of Blood" was, and found out why A) it's getting no votes, and B) it's always annoying when an innocent reactor has to include Showoff Guy's pick without knowing any better.

2023-10-11 19:55:47 +0000 UTCHave you already seen it? I saw you posted something about it on your Instagram story a little while back 😂
Chris Shine
2023-10-11 19:48:23 +0000 UTCOh yeah for sure! I think what makes it such a great movie, in my opinion, is the fact that it’s actually kind of a simple movie like they’re not trying too hard to go way over the top with the scary stuff. The scariness of the movie almost feels more subtle and flows better with the story.

2023-10-11 19:43:42 +0000 UTCAutopsy of Jane doe is so freaking amazing. I’m afraid it won’t get many votes because it’s definitely one of those movies many people haven’t seen or even heard of
