🔮✨Starting HalloVEEn!✨🔮| Poll #1👻

Hi friends!!✨👻

*SO* to kick off our celebrating 👻🎃HalloVEEn🎃👻 here is our *first* (of many)Horror poll for the month of October!!

I've read all your suggestions, filtered out the films I have already seen on my own and BECAUSE there were so many great suggestions that got me HYPE for this upcoming month, I'll be breaking this down into *two* separate polls!

This first one will consist of older/more classical horror films meanwhile the second will consist of more new/modern ones. :)

October is my absolutely favorite month of the year, as well as horror being my favorite genre - so this is gonna be a huge month! I'm really happy to jump into the spirit of this early 🥰🥰

I put a lot of thought into the films and your suggestions and since horror is my favorite genre, I've already seen a bunch! Nightmare on Elm Street, and other some classics are films I've grown up with but I wouldn't mind rewatching some classics I've seen sooooooo if that's something you'd be interested in me doing, please let me know. :) (I love the nightmare on elm streets hehe)

Comments

Yes I have and they terrified me :) (no corn fields for me THANKS)

VKunia

Maybe if the whole cast was in on some nasty conspiracy, or if the writer of the movie, or the main cast were horrible people I'd say don't watch it, but the director? the guy who nobody ever sees, (and the best in the world are still barely even known by name) who tells people where to stand, and gets the shots for someone else's movie? starring other people? a little stretch to be so jaded about a movie because the director was or is a monster. Unless the franchise supports him and his sins. grow up. lol

Jonah Bertorelli

Eric, I couldn't in a million years tell you who directed it, even if I watched it 1000 more times. Lol. Not sure how him being a horrible person makes the film franchise bad? Hate the man, not the movie. Learn to compartmentalize. lol

Jonah Bertorelli

Please don't let this lose. Rig the poll if you have to!

Richard Maurer

I feel like interview with a vampire would be more up your alley but whatever gets chosen on this one i think that The autopsy of Jane doe should be on the next poll because it is an amazing movie too! It’s so underrated I feel like and I believe it’s free on Hulu

Kendall Brown

Nice!

Raptor

Yes. Still a good horror movie though.

Richard Maurer

Original!

VKunia

That's the one by the pedo director, right?

Eric Janssen

Have you seen the 'Jeepers Creepers' franchise?

Jonah Bertorelli

EVIL DEAD 2 will blow your mind. :) I hope you're able to get to it eventually. Also, I will stick up for PSYCHO II; it's a better movie than it had any business being.

Bryan Tuck

I forgot to say, Prince of Darkness is the 2nd movie in John Carpenter's Apocalypse trilogy.

Mastervodo

If she's already seen Nightmare on Elm Street, the natural next step is to skip Elm Street 2 (c'mon, you know why, and she doesn't need to see that freakin' documentary either...) and skip right to the 80's goodness that is Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. After that, it doesn't matter, but I'm in that camp that believes it's better than the first. (And yes, better than New Nightmare, where Wes inflicted an entire decade of "Mommy Horror" on us poor teens...She'll understand what that is after seeing the US Ring.)

Eric Janssen

The Fog is so fun. Goosebumps for grownups.

Jacob King

Which Texas Chainsaw Massacre? The original has been remade like 2 or 3 times.

Raptor

The ‘06 Omen literally doesn’t even EXIST for any other reason than that Internet fans noticed a funny calendar date and all memed the same joke. That should give you some indication right there of which one to watch.

Eric Janssen

I second the recommendation for Halloween III, especially for those who’ve already seen Robocop and can appreciate Dan O’Herlihy’s 80’s career comeback. 🎃☘️ And Texas, Omen and The Fog are great reminders of why 70’s horror didn’t play around, back in the days when they had to fill paying drive-ins and theaters, you soft, spoiled, privileged lil’ Shudder-watching franchise wimps. 😎

Eric Janssen

Definitely the '76er :)

Bryan Tuck

Have you seen Halloween III: Season of the Witch? 35 days til Halloween, Halloween.

Joe Blankenship

^^He makes a good point.

Joe Blankenship

Other worthy horror/thrillers about authors Secret Window(2004) Sinister(2012)

mikethemotormouth

Yeah the 2nd movie tried to adapt the 3rd video game, without realizing the third video game was a direct plot sequel to the first, and they forgot to do the first game with the first movie.

Lee Aguera

Idk if you've seen sinister but that was a good one also if you want to do a fun vampire show you should check out "what we do in the shadows"

Thomas Gilbert

Have you seen 1408 (2007), with John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson? Would definitely recommend if you haven't!

Joshua

Hey Vee! Prince of Darkness by John Carpenter is a classic and very, very good! Would love to see a reactor react to it. Especially Poncho Veella.

Mastervodo

Highly recommend!

Chris

30 days of night was so good, I've even read the book!

Sneaky Poptart

No but I need to!

KikiCraze

Looks like V will win Best Halloween line-up for a Major Reactor for the second year in a row. If you don't know what I'm talking about you'll have to read through the comments.

Richard Maurer

Texas Chainsaw is peak horror cinema, it doesn't get much better.

Joe Mallard

At least the first movie is better than it's sequel

mikethemotormouth

Have you seen the new series on AMC+ yet? It’s now on HBO Max as well. Only one season so far but I really enjoyed the update and expansion of the story.

Chris

Silent Hill is an odd one - its not a great adaptation of the video game story, but its a pretty decent horror movie. Also the video game plot isn't that great to begin with, so its a weird little perfect storm of a not great adaptation of a not great storyline ends up being a totally fine horror movie. Great soundtrack too, highly recommend.

Lee Aguera

Come on people, Bruce Campbell!

Richard Higgs

FINALLY a Halloween poll without "Scream" or "Halloween" in it. Every poll in every reaction community that has those two movies has been the only winners. Like have variety in ya lives people, dang! Anyway I Assume you have seen "Cloverfield" and "10 Cloverfield lane "before since Cloverfield paradox is the last in that series and the others are not on the list?

LightsCameraJake

Spare me the torture. 🤣🤣

Joe Mallard

Hell yeah to "Interview with a Vampire". That movie surprisingly fucks. I put it on one night to doze off and I wound up getting really invested into it and watched the whole thing.

KikiCraze

Thank you!!😊

VKunia

Yayyy! Thank you! You’re the best ❤️❤️ Is Three Colors Blue also still on the cards ?

AC5555

!!! I'll check em out I've never heard of them :)

VKunia

That'll be on the next one!!! 🥰

VKunia

Agreed 👍 a good movie that for sure

Ian

I don't have to add that to the poll.... (surprise) 🤭🤭🤭💖👻

VKunia

30 Days of Night is a much better Vampire film, just sayin'.

Richard Maurer

Unfortunately because you didn't like it, or because you won't get to react to it?

Richard Maurer

NO! God no! Please, anything but the Scream sequels! Are you mad at us?

Richard Maurer

Please consider adding "The Thing" with Kurt Russell. It's so good!

Benjamin Allen

Strangeland and Untraceable would do it too 😵‍💫😵

carbsix

Have you seen Let the Right One In? (For the more modern poll.)

AC5555

I'm old so I grew up on The Omen 😬 ... cerebral horror scares me more than visual effects

carbsix

LMAO I've watched Scream already! (I can continue with the series though 😈)

VKunia

Definitely do the classic one!!

AC5555

I was thinking of the 1976 one but I'm open to the 2006 if that's a better one:)

VKunia

Unfortunately I've also seen it Chris!! :')

VKunia

I know it has zero chance but voting for silent hill to show it some love 👌 IWTV brad Pitt as a vampire I just can't 🤦 but if it wins well enjoy but I can't do it lol

Ian

I have seen the Crow unfortunately :)

VKunia

Please add to the next poll: 28 Weeks Later (2007)

Matt Chris

One I wish you'd included was "The Crow"...unless you've already seen it. I've watched it every Halloween for years. Classic movie.

Kevin C

Finally a Halloween poll that doesn't have Scream in it. 😂

Joe Mallard

The Wailing 🥰

Chris Shine

We talking classic Omen or the new one?
