2023-08-09 04:13:01 +0000 UTCPlease consider staying sub. The emotions are better voice acted in the original audio. The dub is not horrible but few voice actors are as good as Yuki Kaji. The translations are not quite correct as well because the voice lines have to fit the animations.

2023-08-08 12:37:39 +0000 UTCSo dunno if you noticed but this episode had a couple of animation mistakes (7:20ish for example, with Annie). This was the cours finale of the first half of the first season and it was a bit rushed. There's a couple more mistakes and missing scenes sadly. There's other streaming services that have the bluray version where this has been corrected, but sadly Crunchyroll does not have the rights to those.

I should start taking notes when I watch this with you. 😂 But here’s what I do remember. First and foremost, LEVI AND ERWIN HAVE OFFICIALLY ENTERED THE BUILDING. 🙌🙌🙌 So you’ve now met all four of my number ones (it’s a tie because each day a different one of them is my favorite): Armin, Jean, Levi, and Erwin. Every time you talk about how much you like Jean I squeal a little, it took me too many watches to see how amazing he is as a character. So I’m glad you’re seeing that now. Oh and remember when I said your idea of how Pixis would be reminded you of another character on the show? It was Erwin I was thinking of. Also you talking about how you are with food reminded me of Sasha. 😂 As far as captions, I tend to have them on always even during English shows so I don’t miss anything. But I’m on my…I don’t know, fifth or sixth watch of AOT? And this time I turned captions off completely and I’m noticing so much more of the visuals and background things that I always missed because I was reading captions. So I totally get where you’re coming from and even if you stick with sub for this, I’d suggest turning off captions and watching dub for your second watch (I promise there will be one haha). Either way I’m here for this!

2023-08-08 00:26:11 +0000 UTCYou were right for "levi". Japanese pronounce "r" like "l" so maybe the english version was made this way to be less confusing. The french version is "rivaille"
