I will never be upset with you for choosing dub since that’s my preference. But again, do what you’re most comfortable with. As I watch along with you, I always have it on dub anyway haha. So I guess it really doesn’t matter. As for the plateaus…there will be an episode here and there that’s kind of like…letting you catch your breath. But for the most part it just keeps ramping up and up throughout the entire series. Hold on tight, it’s a bumpy ride! 😂

Please stick with sub!

That's not a dissenting opinion. I never diminished the Japanese cast, I said the translating cast did just as well of a job, unlike many other translations of other animes. And "watching subbed requires a little practice" and "hard to keep up" are backhanded comments/insults running under the assumption that people that prefer the original with subtitles are in some way of a better quality of person; and assuming that I have a hard time reading. But that is also clear of your character since you think awards equal "better" when every knows that awards are just circle jerk ceremonies/trophies for people that happen to make a profit on their projects and want to feel warm and fuzzies for making money, lol. I literally said "I don't have time to read a TV show" as in I have a lot of responsibilities and listening to TV shows allows me to enjoy a show while I do other things, know you, like an adult that doesn't have mommy taking care of everything so her special little person can enjoy their precious tv show, lol. Original does not equal better, it can be better, but it doesn't automatically make it better because its the original. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is better than the first series of Fullmetal Alchemist; and I enjoy them both. The Disturbed version of Sounds of Silence is better then the original. Simon and Garfunkel even said their original version was garbage and it won awards too. Their own producer took their song, tweaked it for an updated American audience without them knowing; and that is the version the whole world listens too. Until the lead singer of Disturbed out performed every single previous version; and I still listen to both. Just because you think the original with subs is the only way to truly appreciate these shows doesn't mean you are a better human being. In fact, it could even mean that you're sad and stubborn on the inside if you can't even acknowledge talented translators. Are you sad and stubborn on the inside? lol, When talented people take something of quality and add to it, it often results in a better version of the thing in question. The dub of AOT is done by talented people. Discrediting that discredits yourself. You can have a preference, no one cares, do what you want, but it also doesn't make you special and better for having that preference. Now that is what a dissenting opinion looks like, lol.

I always thought that these few episodes in the middle of this first season were the worst paced of the adaptation of the manga. You definitely feel the "plateau" as you say, instead of urgency, that hole in he Wall was blasted out back in episode 4. You'll have an episode here or there as a breather, but overall everything eventually picks up briskly, but that ain't gonna quell all of the emotions you are gonna feel because of the story. At least know that you are gonna get one hell of a good story that you will love. This and Breaking Bad are some of the best shows you are gonna experience. As for the sub or dub, the acting in the sub is just too damn good, and you will know it,— know it without being told— when you get to those certain points, for me the counterpart in the dub was lacking in comparison in some of the best moments, just my opinion. The dub gets better as it goes on in later seasons, so if you enjoy it go back and forth, the point is to do it the way that makes you better enjoy the story, what you prefer is the point.

To offer a dissenting opinion, the Japanese cast has won many awards for their voice acting. In my opinion shows are best enjoyed in their original language, though watching subbed requires a little practice. Giving up on sub now probably means you're doing dub always. Your choice exclusively of course, if it is hard to keep up then dub is a no brainer, but if not I'd recommend sub.

I don't have the time to sit a read a TV show so I usually always use Dub if its an option; however, sometimes Dub is just as good because of the popularity of the show. It brings out better quality voice actors, great translators, and talent that understands how Japanese is spoken, as in how the language uses syllables. emphasis, and tone. A good team can make a perfect Dub experience and AOT's team does because of how much backing this show got from the beginning. It could afford the good Dubbing. Just like Demon Slayer. Demon Slayer got the funding for quality Dubbing.
