Right now, this show is about primal human nature, The primal urges of the memory of Eren to keep fighting, inspiring Mikasa's primal survival instinct. The reason she instinctively wouldn't just let the titan kill her. The instinctual fear of being eaten, of not being on the top of the food chain anymore. Primal human instinct is the core of these first shows. Fight or flight is what people use to say but recently that has changed in psychology from fight or flight to the 4 F's: Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Faun. The 4 survival reflexive instincts of our animal nature. This show hits hard, confronting you with the reality of survival. An enemy that eats humans. Doesn't even kill us, just eats us and is nearly unkillable. Humans facing such a daunting and mysterious threat. And coming up with a technology of swords and mini jetpacks of sorts with grappling wires, lol. Flinging humans across a battle field, just to even gain access to a weak spot on these titans, lol. Its a fun show and there way more to it than just this.

It was this episode where it started to sink in for me that Eren might actually be dead and that the whole purpose of his character was to inspire Mikasa and Armin (and even Jean, in a weird way) to greatness. Before that I was like you, refusing to believe he was dead. This show is just so good at storytelling. As always, loved the reaction!
