๐บ๐ชด๐๏ธComedy/Light hearted Film Poll!๐๏ธ๐ชด๐บ
Added 2023-07-14 18:45:46 +0000 UTCHey guys!
Same case as the last comedy/light poll!
The suggestions are mainly comedy and a lot of these films can be deemed on opposing sides of the genre - but this is such a vast category so we'll see how we do with certain movies! I've been having a lot of fun with the most recent comedies that I've grown up and missed out on ๐
Recommendations always accepted and appreciated!! I took your recommendations for the last poll and will be altering and changing up the next main one :) some movies were swapped out and it doesn't mean they won't come back in! Just pls recommend :) Keeping up recommendations with each new poll makes me realize what you want *now* rather than 3 polls ago!! So some new movies have been cycled in, we're out here adapting with each poll!
So feel free to be a part of it! I love it when you guys are ๐ฅฐ please stay safe and healthy friends ๐ธ๐๐
P.s. - Be respectful!!! Be nice pls :)

2023-07-16 17:41:38 +0000 UTCI recommend for a future poll, some comedies you are more likely to have missed. Comedy/Mystery (The Thin Man,1934) with William Powell, Myrna Loy & Skippy. Romance/Comedy (My Man Godfrey, 1936) with William Powell & Carole Lombard. Comedy (Ball Of Fire, 1941) with Gary Cooper & Barbara Stanwyck. Comedy/Romance (Monkey Business, 1952) with Cary Grant, Ginger Rogers & Marilyn Monroe.

2023-07-14 21:43:40 +0000 UTCYou should react to Andy Samberg's "Palm springs" it's a great comedy.

2023-07-14 20:57:52 +0000 UTCVee, "A Beautiful Mind" is am AMAZING true story much like "The Theory of Everything" Its a mix of every emotion you can think of. That being said I dont think its a light hearted movie but one VERY MUCH worth watching a reaction to at some point. You would absolutely love this movie.

2023-07-14 20:50:07 +0000 UTCI was only somewhat disappointed in the ending. I think everything upto then is a good fun ride

2023-07-14 19:53:28 +0000 UTCFunny, I thought Smokin Aces was the redneck Oceans 11...

2023-07-14 19:48:26 +0000 UTCIt's a sweet film whose message is that doing something nice for others is its own reward.

2023-07-14 19:41:26 +0000 UTCWet Hot American Summer is one of my favorite movies and my go to comedy whenever I'm feeling down. It's an absurdist classic and has so many talented actors. If your a patron who's never watched the movie and are reading this, go watch it
Noah Hughes
2023-07-14 19:28:25 +0000 UTCAnother good light hearted/feel good movie would be โThe Worlds Fastest Indianโ with Anthony Hopkins

2023-07-14 19:23:12 +0000 UTCI want to recommend IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU (1994) with Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda. Think you'd really like it if you haven't seen it.
Robert Jewell
2023-07-14 19:23:11 +0000 UTCWhat I really wanted to vote for was my recent witty comment that had everybody in the room howling. Alas, it hasnโt been made into a movie (yet), so I chose Who Framed Roger Rabbit ๐
David Olden
2023-07-14 19:16:59 +0000 UTCYeah, like others have said A Beautiful Mind is mostly a drama but it seems like something you would very much enjoy. I figured I would put "Logan Lucky" as a recommendation. It has been called the redneck Oceans 11. Main selling point is it has Daniel Craig putting on another southern accent and also stars Adam Driver and Channing Tatum.

Jason Slater
2023-07-14 19:11:01 +0000 UTCA Beautiful Mind is NOT a lighthearted comedy in any sense. Its a tragic suspense thriller/spy movie. Also Zootopia is just an amazing movie, so let it be that one.
Lee Aguera
2023-07-14 19:01:47 +0000 UTCYes, A Beautiful Mind is the answer to "One of these things is not like the others". I always feels unsatisfied in not recommending films simply because, having not seen them, I don't know how superior they might actually be. Just the same, I'm voting feel-good: Encanto.
Chris Brown
2023-07-14 18:55:36 +0000 UTCFerris Bueller's Day Off. It's an absolute classic.
Willow McPhie
2023-07-14 18:52:28 +0000 UTCA beautiful mind is a fantastic movie and i totally would reccomend it. However, I don't think it falls under the light hearted/comedy category. I'd put it somewhat in the league of the shawshank redemption. (It's a bit of an emotional Rollercoaster)
