The "pens" are code cylinders that contain encrypted keys and are security keys that each officer has access to. They can have one or four. I cosplay as Imperial Officers, and am just nerding out here. The rebellion is still loose and fragmented at this point, and is not yet the "Rebel Alliance" as seen in the film Episode 4 A New Hope. Cassian is joining one of many cells for this mission, as he knows of many rebel factions that he had rattled off to Luthen when asking who he was with.

Right, got it. So they were recruited to fight against people who were also fighting against oppression. Thanks. That's something which I always wondered if he was referring to a specific reference, like the Ghormans. I haven't read about that, but I've heard. I wont describe that reference and spoil it for anyone reading here, just in case they ever put THAT into live action. Maybe season 2, we'll see.

If you haven't looked her up yet, Maarva is played by the same actress who played Harry Potter's Aunt Petunia, and she's wonderous in this show.

HEHEHE I love that you picked up on that!! The outfits are an essential part of the Star Wars experience for me 😎

Ooh I see, thank you for the break down David!! :)

I think it's a metaphor in that Cassian was sent to fight against people who were rebelling against the empire. He was there as punishment for his crimes against the empire, so in a way it was rebels fighting rebels. Or rebels fighting people who had acted against the empire and now the empire was using them as cannon fodder. But Han and Cassian weren't literally attacking their own people, but people who they probably agreed with I guess. The situation does seem a bit similar to Umbara as it was just people who didn't want to be under the empire, like Umbrara didn't want to be under the republic.

Can you clear something up for me? What exactly did he mean be "fighting ourselves"? Was that a similar situation to what happened on Umbara in The Clone Wars? Were Han and Cassian attacking their own people?

So, just some references to the star wars movies that you've already seen V, Senator Mon Mothma was also in Rogue One. Mon Mothma was also in Episode 6: Return of the Jedi. She was in a white gown and gave a speech to the rebels explaining the plan for the attack on the second death star, but she was played by a different actress of course. Cassian said in the episode that he was forced by the empire to fight on the planet Mimban after his jail sentence. Mimban was the mud planet that Han Solo fought on in Solo: A Star Wars Story. So both Han and Andor were forced to fight on Mimban by the empire.

This episode is sooo cool it makes so many cool points like 1 ISB or imperial security bureau I wish we got more into that major partagaz is so cool! 2 tie fighters we make fun of them because of how stupid they look and sound but this show shows how terrifying they really are. 3 Luthens store? Museum? It is amazing there’s millions of tiny references to the clone wars the movies rebels and the games it’s so cool! 4 mon mothma she captures her so well! And her house is amazing! I also really like how they can shift back and forth out of character and last but not least aldahni it is so beautiful! I wish I could see more villages around it would make it so much better anyways andor is amazing

So interesting reference to Aldhani, it was filmed in the Scottish highlands. and is most likely a historical reference to the Highland Clearances; forced evictions from Scottish Highland isles from the British Empire in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. This show did its research too well.

Hey Faye! u probably have a lot of Indian movies to get to but if u get the chance please watch Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013); this story focuses on 4 friends who r in their 20's who go on a trip, girl meets boy, hijinks happen but all the friends have to grow apart becz of their lives and the story begins 8 years later as they all r in their 30's for their friend wedding. This movie celebrates madness, warmth, marriage, freedom, friendships, reunions, & Love. It's available now in netflix & amazon prime

I recently watched the Star Wars reactions from a few years ago, and you get points for consistency about how you liked Mon Mothma's outfits too in the original trilogy and in Rogue One :D

Arronax06

Yes, Andor is broken up into arcs...eps 1-3 is an arc, 4-6 = arc, 7 is a transitional episode, 8-10 = arc, 11 and 12 is basically the finale is 2 parts.

David Martin

This arc teases you, and then takes you by surprise. It's climax becomes edge of your seat suspense with insane imagery. Can't wait to watch you get there.
