The thing about all these multiverses, is that they remove the point of having any variables.

Steve H

How to you manage things in a multiverse where there are multi rules?

Steve H

Sam Raimi LOVES his CHEESY lines, and loves to horror it up. He loves his odd camera work as well. It's such a fun weird film. I 100% agree that I feel like where we left her from WandaVision to this film, didn't feel complete. It felt we missed a huge chunk of how she got the way she was. I get they just say because she got the Darkhold it just took over, but it's sad to see her character jump so fast into villain. John Krasinski being Reed Richards was I feel like a joke that Kevin Fiege did to the fans. For years fans kept "fan casting" Krasinski as Richards, and begging Marvel to cast him in the role. So Fiege is like OH I'll cast him, and kill him in the same movie. The What If series really sets up multiverse stuff, and set up Captain Carter so her appearance was really fun. Professor X of course showed up exactly as the version of him from the Cartoon Series, complete with the giant yellow wheelchair. I also believe Krasinski was a last minute addition. They were gonna have Daniel Craig in there as Balder the Brave. But I think what they were able to do was still wild.

LMFAOOOO YOURE TOTALLY RIGHT I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE HIM AAAAA

VKunia

Crazy how everything is so connected - it's so hard to keep up sometime!!

VKunia

Aw I'm sorry to hear that, if it helps I sort of felt it was slow and off putting for that amount of time but by the end and really thinking on the movie I ended up liking it!!

VKunia

Thank you Mitch!! :) It was definitely fun and such a wild ride

VKunia

I was so hoping he would actually be Ash Williams man. Ash is literally a part of Marvel canon, he was in the Marvel Zombies comics. They had the perfect opportunity to actually have Ash Williams show up in the MCU, and they didn't take it.

Rocket Racoon has entered the chat

This movie is so damn STRANGE! ha. I made a funny. Still not sure if I love it or hate it but it has me so intrigued about the next moves of many characters.

YodatheHobbit

"That was that mans Debut as an actor look what you did to him" Uh excuse me, that is the legendary actor Bruce Campbell xD

LightsCameraJake

super excited! remember the multiverse opened when sylvie killed he who remains!

Nyros

I just cant watch this, we tried to watch this in our friend group when it came out, if I remember correctly we made it ~1/3 maybe half of the movie before we couldnt take it anymore and stopped, this was pretty much the end of marvel for us.

samuel Jakob

Great Value Avengers? I think the illuminati would be a pretty powerful Avengers team. Let's be real, if you put Scarlet Witch Wanda in place of Thanos in Infinity War, she would taken out the all the heroes just as easily as Thanos did, maybe even easier.

Richard Maurer

I was curious about this to so I googled it. First of all it was a conscious decision by the film makers, not an oversite. What they said was Wanda purposely looked for realities where her counterpart was not with Vision, mostly because Vision would likely notice a change in Wanda if MCU Wanda took over her body, So MCU Wanda was afraid she'd end up fighting Vision, and possibly have to kill him once again, and she couldn't take that trauma in her life again.

Richard Maurer

Hard enough for regular people to meet someone, fall in love, and have kids. Wanda over here destroying wizards, traveling the multiverse, and killing the Great Value Avengers just to have hers.

Great reaction Vee, this was a fun watch! I love Dr strange and actually wish this was weirder. I'm not a horror enjoyer at all but this could've been scarier too lol. Was great to see prof X, reed richards, and cpt carter.

MenuMitch

That flash of red (Wanda's power) as Mt. Wundagore is collapsing certainly gives them an out if they do bring her back. I hope they do, she's too good of a character to lose.

Richard Maurer

I always wondered why she didnt dream about a family with the Vision?

JT King

The illuminati had been a part of Marvel since 2005. Yeah, this movie is meant to tease us with mutants and inhumans. You really should watch the series in between the movies as they all build up the new phases, introducing characters and plots. Oh and I don't for one moment think she is gone for good. No body, no death xD

FatLittleButterfly

Bruce Campbell (aka pizza poppa) is besties with Sam Raimi. He starred in the Sam's first film Evil Dead, which you clearly remember, right? lol, all the gore? lol. Anyway, Sam's style of film making is all over this film. The music note battle, the undead strange. Bruce Campbell is in some Sam Raimi projects along with Sam's brother Ted Raimi. Often Ted Raimi is in a monster costume in the early Sam films. Sam calls both of them his good luck charms along with his favorite car from the first Evil Dead film. at least one of these three good charms, usually make into most of his films somewhere. The most iconic Ted role in Sam's films is the Spider-man films (Tobey ones), he was the guy with glasses that annoys J Johan Jameson often by popping in, saying something, then popping out. I get the feeling this is going to end up being the odd Doctor Strange film, when looking back at the MCU. Like how Star Wars the Last Jedi is the odd one out of the Sequel Trilogy. Unless they carry this "unique" style to the next Strange film.

Raptor

I never even watched it..

Joe Mallard

You make a good point.

Tom Evans

I think it's the connection with tinfoil hat conspiracies that throws some people. But seeing as this is happening in another part of the multiverse it's a invalid comparison.

Richard Maurer

Dang, you skipped Marvels What if😔. That show really is amazing and it's Chadwick Boseman's last performance as an actor. Also it expands upon the multiverse before this movie to give more depth on what is going on out there and introduces a character (more or less) seen this very movie. Wish you could stick to the timeline release order, writers and producers release these shows and movies in the orders they do for a reason. It's sucks you skipped such an amazing 9 episode show because there is A LOT of cross over/connection to What if just in this movie that would of made a lot more sense to see and made this movie an even more of a fun watch. Did you plan on watching it at least?

LightsCameraJake

Also anyone who goes into a film called 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' cant come out of it saying that was too weird

George Baxter

I liked this movie! Believe it or not, it wasn’t released around Halloween. I saw it opening night on Cinco de Mayo! I actually think Wanda survived. Even if she didn’t, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more of the alternate universe versions of her. It’s a fun style of movie. I like how Rami leaned into the cheesiness!

Timothy Poeschl

Why are people so thrown by the 'Illuminati' title?? Is it just the cliche for secret organisations? I would have thought that if you can buy into SHIELD as an abbreviation, or Hydra (evil incorporated) or the literal 'Guardians of the Galaxy' that the Illuminati isnt that much of a stretch...

George Baxter

I like that analogy. I was just half expecting to see Mephisto pop up

FatLittleButterfly

V, To understand what's happening to Wanda you have understand The Darkhold. The Darkhold is similar to the One Ring in LotR in that once you use it you're inescapably corrupted. So the end credit scene in WandaVision lead inevitably to this. Wanda in this movie was no more in control than Smeagol was in LotR. But at least, with the help of her love for her children, she was able to overcome it in the end. And Captain Marvel is not in the same league as Scarlet Witch. Even Thanos, with the full Infinity Gauntlet, might not be able to beat the Scarlet Witch.

Richard Maurer

Came for this; leaving satisfied.

Myoclonic Jerk

Pizza Poppa squirts mustard on himself... Vicky: That was that man's big break; that was his debut, and look what you did to him. Me: Boy, am I old. :)

Bryan Tuck

Don't forget Spider-Man 3: The Birth of Bully McGuire

Mike Turp

This was directed by Sam Raimi. He directed the evil dead series and Spiderman 1 and 2 in early 2000's. So it was no surprise it had evil dead horror vibes.

giovanni

I am glad that it felt more like Disney being forced to make a Sam Raimi movie than Sam Raimi being forced to make a Disney movie (A la Oz TGAP). There's tons of Evil Dead and Drag Me To Hell nods in this film which is great. Though personally, would've liked to see some Darkman influence too. Absolutely love Darkman.

Inhuman Paradox

So, I have a weird opinion on this film. Weird because I know there's a lot of people who think this and WandaVision actively make Agents of SHIELD not canon (I disagree, and Matt Shakman who wrote WV has even said he believes the Darkhold is the same as from AoS despite the appearance changing. AoS itself established the Darkhold can change looks, as did Runaways iirc). But personally, I think watching Agents of SHIELD really benefits this movie, because as an AoS fan, I was more sympathetic to Wanda because I know what the Darkhold does to people. I don't think this film explained the Darkhold very well, and a lot of people just took Wanda as "going evil" here. But that's not what happened. The Darkhold always hooks you with something you want, and then takes control. It's a drug, it's an addiction, and it always tries to syphon energy off of other worlds. In AoS, without spoilers, it used two people's deepest wants to turn them dark and force them to steal energy from another universe. Sound familiar? It does the same thing to Wanda that it did to them. But I realize, for people who didn't watch AoS, this movie doesn't really explain that well. It just makes it seem like Wanda had a magic book tell her something and then went crazy, with a last minute redemption. I understand what happened to Wanda because some of the best antagonists on AoS went through the exact same thing, only arguably darker considering what they made with the Darkhold. But if someone hadn't seen AoS, and their only exposure to the Darkhold prior was WandaVision? I can see why they'd be confused as to why Wanda's just suddenly a total psychopath.

Inhuman Paradox

I really liked this movie, there is a corner of the fandom that didn't like it, and I don't think it's flawless, but it was basically exactly what I was looking for from a Wanda/Strange multi-verse movie.

Erik Stevenson

Hope you enjoyed this one. The Sam Raimi-ness of it really shines through. Hence the horror-comedy elements.

Joe Blankenship

Of all the People in MCU. Wanda and Thor have most tragic writing. With everything and everyone they lost 😭

STEEL Metal

Wanda can’t blame Strange for Vision’s death. Thanos was inevitability going to win and take the Time Stone anyway and the only way to restore the universe and truly defeat Thanos is for Tony to be alive. So Strange had no choice but to give it up.

Calvin Kopp

I mean the shows in general, I hope she at least watches the others cause they are pretty important (even some stuff here won't be as contextual without stuff like What If) so if not reactions, she definitely should watch them or she'll be lost in the future

Lorenzo Baxter

Are you going to be doing Hawkeye?
