Yes I remember that :( thats so sad how they view troopers as expendable. And that makes sense, Moff really came off as a disrespectful in his delivery (great acting) which must've twisted the knife for the Mandalorians that much more

2023-04-27 23:42:06 +0000 UTCRemember, in the timeline of Star Wars, The Mandalorian takes place after the empire falls from the Original Trilogy and before the First Order takes over in the Sequel Trilogy. Decades exist between these two major story lines so lots can happen with this show. Those guys at the end were Praetorian Guards. They are the elite body guards, so they get the elite weaponry, the weaponry that they don't have a lot of resources to make for your standard trooper. Also, and this is more about empire policy than anything else but realize that storm troopers are expendable. They are seen as cannon fodder by the Empire. That is why there are so many, why they are bad shots, why they go down easy. They are barely soldiers. They were originally just an army of disposable clones. So storm troopers don't get the good weapons. This scene is unique because Moff Gideon decides to make basically elite armor and jetpacks for disposable soldiers. He is really rubbing his disrespect for Mandalorians in their faces with this by, non-verbally, saying they are 'a worthless people with fancy armor. I can put worthless people in fancy armor too and I still come out on top therefore I'm better and right,' blah blah blah, lol.
