✨✨Recommendations!! :)✨✨

SO... Surprise!! Mary Cherry and I are going to be doing a video together and we're looking for a film that is long as well as good, so if anyone has any recommendations please be sure to drop them down below!

We'll be splitting the movie where one part will be on her channel and others will be on mine!

I hope you'll help us choose the perfect movie, thank you so much friends - can't wait to see what you come up with! 😊☺️🥰✨

Comments

The part separation is for YouTube :) not patreon dont worry

VKunia

Spartacus with Kirk Douglas is an amazingly long movie.

Joe Mallard

You have already done the longest movie like, everrrr The Lord of the Rings. Here is an oldie but a very very goodie despite its religious theme. The Ten Commandments. It's nice and long, too.

MertzRocks

I can only recommend Sunshine (2007)

YodatheHobbit

Shutter island, goodfellas, the departed

S Elphick

Judgement @ Nuremberg (1961) probably one of the best casts ever put together. That is besides being an amazing film.

Goff

Ya're so right! Totaly amusin even the 20st time I rewatched it 🥰😁

Free2sigh

If you have made it through Man of Steel, Batman VS Superman, Wonder Woman, Try Zack Snyder’s Justice League. 4h 2min.

Ryan Cornett

I fully support your idea!

David Crabtree

I love that movie! It's actually my favorite Michael j. Fox film.

David Crabtree

The Batman 2022

Jonathan Blake Fore

How could I forget?: Maybe NOW would be a good time for "Seven Samurai", that kept turning up on so many early polls, and taken off again whenever the usual suspects got more votes. Three hours of the most Badass Movie Ever Made, and you'll be too wrapped up to care who does which half.

Eric Janssen

I saw where two reactors did just this with their LotR reactions, that is half on one YT channel half on the other but full reactions on both of their patreon channels. Also had links on both YT channels so you didn't have search the other channel out.

Richard Maurer

Mahbe late but hey, ya asked for a good one and "Secret of my success" is an absolut classic one! Upliftin, funny, ridiculous at some points but with an absolutely on point actin of Michael J Fox at his best! Go for it someday ; )

Free2sigh

Piggy backing off the above comment, I like the idea of a "team up" reaction, but I don't know how well thought out splitting up the movie reaction between the two channels is. I can see doing that for the youtube version. But I would recommend posting the full reaction on both Patreon channels, otherwise you'll have patrons who are only pledged to one of the accounts able to see half the reaction or be forced to pay and support another Patreon that they're not subscribed to, for just one half of a movie reaction.

David Crabtree

'We'll be splitting the movie where one part will be on her channel and others will be on mine!' I don't think the idea of one part here and the other there is well thought out, but maybe it came across wrong. 🤔 It may be that some people are signed up with more than one reactor at a time and pay twice accordingly, but I think the majority is here for a reason and therefore not at Mary Cherry or elsewhere. So I think both, your supporters and hers, should be able to see your combined reaction to the film on both channels completely. I don't think anything else will go over well. 😟 As a movie, I recommend 'Gettysburg' as Director's Cut, 271min. I'm not aware of a longer film and in fact it's very good. 😊

Chris Lüders

What is the point of saying this? I mean, obviously you're not a Mary Cherry fan, but do you really think V is going to drop her for some other reactor at this point? If you really find MC so awful just don't watch.

Richard Maurer

Love all those movies, I do not think there are enough tissues in the world for those two to get through the first 3 on that list.

Naturekitty5309

I am a new patron and I really love your reactions. The Godfather wouldbea good one for you, great acting, great story. I think both of you will be surprised.

Naturekitty5309

Does it have to be with Mary Cherry?

Nathan Smith

Braveheart, the Patriot, Last of the Mohicans, or Ten Commandments.

Alton

the nice guys

David Gamez

My picks are "Inglourious Basterds", "Everything Everywhere All At Once" and "Barbarian"

Bill Woods

Heat 1995 starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino 2 hours 50 minutes Last of the Mohicans 1992 starring Daniel Day Lewis I thought this was a long movie but it's not actually, under 2 hours Collateral 2004 starring Tom Cruise 2 hours Kingdom of Heaven 2005 starring Liam Neeson and Orlando Bloom The directors cut over 3 hours. Directors cut is better than theatrical cut. The Patriot 2000 starring Mel Gibson almost 3 hours

Frankie H

Holy crap! This is awesome! I started watching Mary’s reactions a couple of months ago. I didn’t know you guys knew each other! Okay so my suggestions are: Avatar (there is a 3 hour cut but I don’t know if it’s available online. Top Gun Maverick also since you guys both recently watched the first one!

Riku Kurosaki

it's really not. I've seen it.

There are much better DC movies out there. Wonder Woman for example. It's 2:30 hours long and is significantly better.

The Dingo

Matt

Top Gun: Maverick or The Patriot!

David Crabtree

Wow you and Mary? Never knew that you knew her!

Zack Snyder's Justice League - runtime 4hr 3mins The Hateful Eight (another amazing Quentin Tarantino film) - the original cut is 2hr 48mins, the extended version is divided into 4 mini-episodes on Netflix runtime of over 50mins each; 3hr 31mins total Nymphomaniac (uncut) - divided into 2 volumes, total runtime is 5hr 25mins and Shia Labeouf co-stars, very artsy/foreign film The Green Mile - 3hr 9mins Hamlet (1996) Kenneth Branagh stars and directs - 4hr 2 mins Seven Samurai (1954) - 2hr 38mins Avengers: End Game and RRR are both over 3hrs but you have seen those recently Titanic - 3hr 17mins Dances with Wolves - 3hr 1min Grindhouse (2007) - 2 films back-to-back like a drive-in theater, Directed by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, runtime total 3hr 11mins Wyatt Earp (1994) - 3hr 32mins Tombstone (1993) - 2hr 14mins Bone Tomahawk - 2hr 13mins

Raptor

Because she’s a Dc fan and it’s long. That was my only reason

Josie Lawson

The movie has some fans, but a huge part of the audience disliked it. Why use such a problematic one for a coop?

Dioskur

The count of Monte Cristo (2002)

Chase Gardner

Hey!! I liked that movie :(. And Vee is a DC fan

Josie Lawson

Just no

The Dingo

Have you seen the Snyder Cut of Justice League?

THE PIANIST

Dale Diaz

Top Gun Maverick :D

brae

Kingdom of Heaven Director's cut, Dances with Wolves, The Last of the Mohicans, Lawrence of Arabia, Rush, Top Gun Maverick (since you both seen the first one) Flags of our Father and Letters from Iwo Jima (see one in one, the other shows the second), lastly Troy: Director's cut. I know many of these have been suggested already, and I figure I give another nod to them.

Martin Gallegos

How about "The Right Stuff"? Long movie, but about the early days of the Mercury space program, and the breaking of the sound barrier.

deskmerc

For a long but good comedy, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963}, would work.

hfwilliams

Kingdom of Heaven, directors cut

Billy Short

GONE WITH THE WIND (1939) or FANNY AND ALEXANDER (1983) or KING KONG 2005) Mary Cherry is awesome fun. Looking forward to whatever you decide.

Robert Jewell

Long, but good...perhaps GONE WITH THE WIND (1939) for a classic or LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962 or my favorite, but unlikely winner FANNY AND ALEXANDER (1983)

What about a real cinematic epic 1963 CLEOPATRA with Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton, it’s definitely a long movie, it’s one of my all time favourites. It’s was considered the most expensive movie of it time.

RebRox65

1. Kill Bill. 2. Gangs of New York. 3. The Patriot. 4. Inglorious Basterds. 5. Django Unchained. 6. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Royce Jackson

Top Gun: Maverick Everything Everywhere all at Once The Nice Guys True Lies

Sticking to the (ahem) actual SUBJECT of Long and Good: I'll circle the discussion back to where it started with all four hours of Gone With the Wind. That qualifies for "Long", and the fact that it's considered one of the top three best Hollywood movies ever made should fill the "Good" category. Have to check, but I'm pretty sure neither party's done that one yet. (In fact, I don't think any regular reactor's done it yet, since the Patreon fan discussions usually devolve into "No, no, it's icky and racist, and nobody should ever watch it ever again, that'll show it!")

Eric Janssen

Everything Everywhere All At Once. Seeing both of your reactions to that would be hilarious

Danny Johnston

It’s so good, it’s like one of my favorite movies and I’m trying to recommend it to all the reactors I watch because it seems there are not many reactions to it lol and I think the story deserves to be told and spread around.

Gilbert Gonzalez

Another great choice would be THE PATRIOT with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger. It's 2 hours and 45 minutes, and is a Revolutionary War epic from 2000. With one of the all-time great movie villains as well.

David Crabtree

The Godfather Parts 1 and 2, Scarface, Casino, Apocalypse Now, Tenet, Elvis, JFK and The Batman with Robert Pattinson

Mark Daza

13 Hours: The secret soldiers of Benghazi would be a great choice!

David Crabtree

TOP GUN: MAVERICK! You've both each recently seen the first Top Gun, and what better way to celebrate this epic team-up reaction than with the biggest and best movie of the year!

David Crabtree

TENET

Chase Gardner

"Bubba Ho-Tep" (2003)! A very fun loving comedy horror starting Bruce Campbell as Elvis Presley and Ossie Davis as a black JFK.

You could watch THE RAID 1 and 2 one on each channel

Matt

I scrolled through the videos on both of your youtube channels and I didn't see Dances with Wolves, Fiddler on the Roof or Gettysburg. Those would be my recommendations for long AND good films......

David Bennett

I'll second Magnolia and Hateful Eight

mikethemotormouth

Did you have a preferred genre?

Alvin Cura

I've got three suggestions Das Boot(1985) Malcolm X(1992) The Color Purple(1985)

mikethemotormouth

A BRIGHTER SUMMERDAY (1991) 4 hours long

Matt

Grindhouse (2007) would be perfect, it's a Robert Rodriguez/Tarantino homage to the old double feature so it's 2 movies in 1. Total runtime is 3h 11m.

Jordan Love

DRIVE MY CAR (2021) 3 hours Won academy award best foreign language film

Matt

Not sure if it’s as long as you’re looking for but maybe 13 Hours: The secret soldiers of Benghazi (2016) run time is 2hrs 24mins. If not, I say maybe The Irishman (2019), 3hrs 29mins. Or Gangs of New York (2002), 2hrs 47mins. Both are directed by Martin Scorsese lol
