Luna is one of my favorite characters in this for everything you mentioned, and at the same time Umbridge is probably also m y most hated. Your reactions to them both didn't disappoint. Seeing how you processed everything in this movie was great, and I especially can't wait to see the next one seeing how much you love Severus xP What's even crazier is that it was actually Umbridge specifically who sent the Dementors in the beginning of the movie/book. Her sweet deceitful exterior only makes her more hated. At least Voldemort owns up to being what he is, visually and in personality. She tries to conceal/justify it. It's so bad that she's made me almost unironically like children just so I didn't have that bit in common with her.

I joined your patreon to watch the full length of this movie. So glad I did. It's a great movie, and you have so many other things here that I want to see you react to. Guess I'll have to stick around.

Fun fact: in the book, Harry absolutely loses his mind at Dumbledore after they return from the fight at the ministry. Destroys half his office in the process. Dumbledore, being Dumbledore, calmly watches, understanding that he deserves a good bit of Harry's rage.

in germany the harry potter movies right now are on amazin prime but gladly its the same version you are using :)

Technically you last saw Dudly 2 films ago, so he's had time to grow since then. He didn't suddenly get big.

So Dudley got so fat durning Book 3 they didn't make uniforms big enough for him. So Summer of Book 4, before Harry went to the Quidditch World Cup, Mrs. Dursly made everyone go on a horrible diet. It worked. Dudley lost a lot of weight and, whie Harry was at Hogwards in book 4, Dudley took up boxing at his school. The "gang" with Dudley are his friends. In the books, we met one of them. Mrs. Figg is the crazy cat lady on the street that we've kown from book 1 but she got cut out of the movies while she was really a secret spy for Dumbledore watching him all this time and it's a big reveal for the book readers.

I'm a fan of Tom Bombadil, but I completely understood why they didn't put him in Fellowship. To do him justice, you're talking a minimum of 45 min to 1 hr. of added screen time, screen time that wouldn't add anything to the main plot in a already long movie. I do wish they filmed his sequence though, so they could've added it the extended edition. Personally adding extra hour to fellowship would be fine by me.

Richard Maurer

I can assure you as a movies only guy, first time i heard of tom bombadil i have been who tf is this and he is literally irrelevant to any part of the story or narrative. And i have been pleased and content that they never implemented him to the movies

Again as always amazing reaction this was such a good time watching the movie again, loved it!§

Kreacher does have to listen to Harry because Sirius told Kreacher to treat Harry as if he is one of the Black family. After Sirius dies, Harry orders Kreacher around in later books and Kreacher does what he says only because he was ordered to treat Harry as if he is one of the family. Godsons do count if the family says they count.

Raptor

Sirius: "They suffered a fate worse than death..." , V: "having Neville?" , lol fucking savage

hrj665

Kreacher doesn't have to listen to Harry.. yet. His is bound to the family and their will. Godsons doesn't count

whoop whoop

Also, it wasn't Cho Chang who betrayed the group but her friend Marietta Edgecomb but Cho trying to defend her friend is the final straw that breaks the already doomed relationship. Plus, we get a return of Rita Skeeter who is being blakmailed by Hermione after the cut out events of the last movie.

One... more... to... go!

The Dingo

Harry Potter and the Governmental Overreach, lol. Professor Umbridge is described as frog-[ike in appearance in the books. All those little noises she makes when trying to interrupt Dumbledore are describe as almost ribbits, lol. She's the queen of the Karens. Did you notice the ministry thug that had Harry by the shirt? That was Percy Weasley. There is this additional story line where the Weasley family have a little drama with Percy. Percy had goals to join the ministry and this conflict the ministry had with lying about Voldemort coming back drove a little wedge in the Weasley household since Percy's dad, Arthur, is part of the Order. Things not in film but in the book: Hermione and Ron became Prefects for Gryffindors this year. Ginny joined the Gryffindors Quidditch team. The kids visit St Mungo's Hospital to visit Arthur, after the attack. At St, Mungo's Hospital you get to see that Gilderoy Lockhart is still damaged by his own memory spell that backfired. You also get to see a scene between Neville and his parents. You also learn more about Kreacher, the house elf for the Blacks, and the connection of the Blacks and Lestranges being cousins. Because Harry is the godson of Sirius Black, Kreacher must listen to Harry because Kreacher is bound to do as any member of the Black family orders. You also learn more about Sirius's mom and the covered picture Kreacher is talking too while he cleans the frame. Its a picture of Sirius's mom and if you take the covers off of it, she'll scream about Mudbloods and Traitors in her house, non-stop. You see more of Snape's memories about being bullied by James and crew (Sirius, Lupin, and Pettigrew), lol, You also see Snape and Lilly Potter interact, which is friendly. Luna is a wonderful character. As spacey as she seems, she is from the Ravenclaw house, an house known for intelligence and creativity. Her dad runs the wizarding tabloid The Quibbler, always full of conspiracy ideas and legends and folk tales and hidden mythical creatures...like Nargles, which are tiny fairies that are mischievous thieves that most wizards believe don't exist. She originally suspects her shoes were stolen by Nargles, until she finds out it was just her classmates teasing her.

Raptor

She had no choice as she’s forced to tell the truth via Veritaserum so she’s forgiven. It may not be exactly as it was in the book but it’s pretty realistic and logical way for Umbridge to figure it out the club by interrogating Cho using Truth Serum.

Calvin Kopp

I hated how they made Cho to be the "snitch" instead. Oh! There is a pretty cool backstory of Evanna Lynch, the actor for Luna (:

FatLittleButterfly

J.K Rowling herself said that she regretted adding too much information in that book. Saying it was too beefy and too long. She wished she had shortened it and cut some things out that were unnecessary.

Inhuman Paradox

After the Battle of Department of Mysteries, Dumbledore explained to Harry everything about his plan from the beginning. He dropped Harry to Dursleys as a baby so Lilly’s love protection would live on as long as he lives with his Aunt Petunia who’s Lilly’s older sister and must stay there until Harry becomes of Age at 17. And yes it was Professor Trelawney who made the Prophecy between Harry and Voldemort. The Full Prophecy is this: “The One with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. Born to those who have thrice defied him. Born as the seventh month dies. And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal but he shall have the power the Dark Lord knows not. And either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives.”

Calvin Kopp

I've been looking forward to this!

Joe Mallard

This is my personal favorite movie but also my least favorite book in the series. This is David Yates’s first film in the series as the director and hasn’t stopped since. Not only finishing the last 4 movies in series but also coming out to direct 3 Fantastic Beasts films. He’s the director that really understands the franchise of how the world, the characters and creatures all flow together and it’s clear with the first film that he did alongside Michael Goldenburg who replaced Steve Klovis as the screenwriter.
