Added 2022-11-04 06:27:18 +0000 UTCSo apparently I was right and this was a film that I had seen like TWO scenes of it before!! (A long long time ago on yt) but I believe this is the only one. I enjoyed getting to know more of the characters through situations and interaction - and how they respond to events. Character building is super important to me and after seeing all of the world building within the first film I'm glad we had a pretty different change of pace in this one :)
It's funny to see how such big issues are put on HARRY'S SHOULDERS (a literal child) and how the adults are like "nop lets close down the school instead" LMAO But either way, I hope you all enjoy!! Thank you for beginning the journey of Harry Potter with me.:)

This film is so odd in the way that it presents things. It's VERY direct. The script is constantly like "Ms. Bladablah is doing blah blah right at this very moment" *Camera pans shows exactly what was just described, then the character nods as if saying, YES, I'm doing exactly what was just described!" Rather than some bad films which tell rather than show, with too much exposition, or good films which show instead of telling where it's all action, this film tells then shows, and it does it a LOT. Or sometimes even shows, then tells, like with Ron and Lockheart at the end. "Who am I?" Ron to Harry and audience: "Lockheart doesn't know who he is!" It's like the film doesn't trust the audience to follow the story visually without being told what's happening by a character every time.
