So here we are, at the beginning of his huge journey (THERE SO MANY MOVIES) and after watching this.. I'm really really enjoying it thus far!! This is my first time ever watching Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's stone and... whew was it actually a TON of fun to watch. I loved how detailed and immerse the world got, and the way characters were introduced where you can tell a bit about each and every one (even more side characters).
But it's FALL, ITS WITCHY SEASON AND I'M ALL HERE FOR IT. I love the world of Harry Potter so far and I cannot wait to grow with the cast and watch all the changes as well as watch the story unfold.

For those wondering why their copy doesn't match. This is the extended version, but it's the broadcast version of that, meaning the times when the Vkunia's copy goes black that's the cut for the commercials. It is really commendable for Neville to stand up to his friends when they are up to mischief. It is not easy doing that, especially at the age of 11 when you are bullied all the time.

Wizards exist but are hidden from muggles. Basically, all the witch trials and stuff in our history drove all magic users to hide in plain sight. Most wizard stuff goes 'unseen' by the untrained eye, essentially. Plus, magic allows them to make 'pockets' of things and places that are cloaked from the Muggle world, basically. Wizards have a government and banks and 'a' sport; it is forbidden to do magic in front of muggles. Filch is the 'castle caretaker', Hagrid is the 'grounds keeper' and the 'keeper of keys' of Hogwarts. Hagrid is legally not allowed to use magic, ever, explained later, but he is one of Dumbledore's favorite people so Dumbledore allows Hagrid to have an 'umbrella', it's his wand in disguise, for emergencies. The the caretaker Filch is a 'Squib", a non-magic person born in a magical family. He, genetically, can't use magic. He has a nasty chip on his shoulder about it. Mirroring the High School movie/TV story tropes, Gryffindors are brave, courageous, determined (kinda the popular/jock type); Slytherins are ambitious, cunning, prideful (kinda the rich kid/bad boy type, lol); Ravenclaws are wise, creative, intelligent (the nerd/mathlete/artist type); Hufflepuff are patient, fair, loyal (your miscellaneous background, bestie, casted extras to fill in the background type, probably the glee kids too, lol). Dumbledore knows waaaay more than he ever lets on. He is kinda known for 'collecting/recruiting' unique/outcast types of characters and wizards so he can look after them and/or protect them and/or help them develop themselves. Professor Flitwick and the Goblin Banker are played by the same actor Warwick Davis, probably the most famous little person actor. Played Willow. So first year students get to the school by boat as part of the ceremony of going to the school. All the other students use carriages to get to the school before the first years.

I'm not gonna be the killjoy I'd be if I kept watching the Hobbit ones, which is why I'm gonna skip those. I don't enjoy ruining other people's fun so I'll just avoid those, and in these cases I like these movies enough to forgive the changes. Except maybe movie 6. I don't know, I go back and forth.
