Powder suffers from attachment issues and when Vi went to take a break (because she realised she had gone too far) Powder sees it as Vi abandoning her, even though that is not what is really happening. PS: I believe that when Vi saw the monkey head after the explosion, she didn't immediately think that Powder was responsible (recall that Vi didn't know what the blue orbs were either). I think she believed, at that moment, that Powder had followed them there and had died in the explosion.

You are in for such a treat with this show. Bring tissues and prepare for a wonderful journey. This is where things really kick off. π
