Hello everyone, hope you're doing well.
I'm sorry for any League players I may or may not have triggered, that wasn't the intention, but I'm going with the bit.
As I'm writing this, I am coming up to the end of my semester and I'm so excited to be getting back into writing. I haven't done much creative work throughout the month of December and we're already half way through, so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Whilst I didn't do much writing, I have been doing a lot of reading, ruminating and readying (alliteration makes me happy just go with it) for all the projects that will be coming in the new year. I've been reading as many writing books as I possibly could in my (very limited) spare time and the two shown in the image are a few of them.
I've already gotten through Romancing the Beat by Gwen Hayes and I'm currently getting through Save the Cat Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody. Both have given me a lot of much needed insight and I'm really excited to write a story based off of the advice given in the respective books. I won't go into too much details due to spoilers, but a project that I will be sharing starting next year will be following some of the same story structures provided in these two books and I have to say, it's getting really good (get keen >:3).
I've been writing stories, scripts, and shows for a long time now, but it's only recently that I realized that writing is the thing that makes me happier above all else. In the past, I've focused more on the visuals and delivery and a myriad of other aspects that go into a story, but when it comes down to it, if the story isn't good, then the rest of it will not matter.
I want to do my best to be as good (wow amazing verbiage) of a writer as I can during my time in this space and beyond. Of course, with the format of making audio content, there are limitations, but I'm coming up with ways to work around them.
In any case, get ready because I have some amazing things in the works. Unfortunately, because of my wanting to prioritize quality, that will mean some sacrifices, which I will go more into detail later. As I am still a full-time student, I'm constantly juggling between those two worlds, which is not easy. I ask that you be patient and understanding and hopefully it'll more than pay off.
Thank you so much for reading, take care.
PS: I'm flirting with the idea of making a website to document my writing journey, just so the people who don't really care about this sort of stuff won't be subjected to my rambling, but I'm unsure (again, busy). I'll let you all know when I have more news!
