Under the Red Dress

Lena had always been good at keeping secrets.

Tonight’s was pressed snugly against the crimson silk of her dress, hidden beneath the candlelit table. The restaurant was intimate—low lighting, the hum of conversation, the clink of silverware. Perfect for a first date. Perfect for this.

Mark was charming, handsome in that effortless way, his dark eyes crinkling when he laughed. He’d ordered for both of them—seared scallops, truffle pasta, a shared chocolate fondant—unaware of the real reason Lena had suggested Italian.

Carb-loading was an art.

The First Course

She ate slowly at first, dabbing her lips with the napkin, laughing at his jokes. But beneath the table, her fingers crept to her stomach, pressing lightly. Already, the dress felt tighter.

Good.

Mark frowned slightly as she finished her third bread roll. "You’re… really enjoying those, huh?"

Lena smiled. "I skipped lunch."

A lie. She’d had a full meal specifically to stretch her stomach beforehand.

The Main Event

By the time the pasta arrived, Lena’s belly had begun to round out, pressing insistently against the fitted waist of her dress. She shifted subtly, leaning forward onto the table to disguise the growing curve—but the pressure was delicious.

Mark blinked as she cleaned her plate. "You’re still hungry?"

She nodded, reaching for the bread basket again. "I just love good food."

Another lie.

She loved the fullness, the way her body strained against the fabric, the secret thrill of knowing he had no idea.

The Reveal

Dessert was the tipping point. The molten chocolate cake vanished in minutes, and Lena finally let herself lean back in her chair with a soft sigh.

Her belly surged forward, rounding into an unmistakable curve beneath the red silk. The dress pulled taut, the zipper groaning, the fabric so stretched it shone under the candlelight.

Mark’s fork clattered onto his plate.

"Oh."

Lena watched his face—confusion, realization, then stunned amusement.

"So that’s where it all went," he said, laughing. "I was starting to think you were a witch."

She grinned, running a hand over the swollen slope of her stomach. "Just a girl who loves to eat."

And a man who might just love watching.
