So, things haven't REALLY improved. In some ways they have and in other ways they haven't. Overall, the pain has still been the same; but I'm able to sit comfortably for the most part. A few days ago, I was unable to get to sleep due to construction in the apartment below me, so I tried sleeping on the loveseat in my living room, and my back really did not like that. So I decided to call my doctor and ended up seeing him that same day.
So, a little background: this is not my usual doctor. The doctor I've seen since I was a kid was recently let go from the healthcare firm he was at (for a very shitty reason. I learned that it was because he was taking too long with patients-i.e. actually talking with them and listening to them- and that was hurting the company's bottom dollar). So they assigned me a new doctor who I've only seen once before for like 15 minutes. So he doesn't really know me that well or my medical history and all that. But he did some tests like lifting my legs while I was on my back and some poking/prodding; and said I probably had a sprained back.
So, I'm not going to entirely discount that, but the circumstances around it and what I've researched may point to something more serious. I won't bore you with the details about it; but the last time a doctor explained a stomach problem I was having as probably just a bad reaction to a burrito...ended up being something I needed SURGERY for. So I'm a little worried this might be more than just a sprained back. Especially since everything I've read seems to point to it getting better after 2 weeks max.
So, I dunno. I'm gonna call my old doctor, who I just learned is still practicing but just somewhere else now, and see if my insurance will cover it, and see what he says.
In the meantime I've been sketching some stuff when I had the chance.
