Added 2024-08-18 09:47:45 +0000 UTCApple, to keep everything in its vice-like grip is going to start taking a 30% cut of anyone who uses Patreon via the Apple app store starting in November. So it's either I eat that 30% cost, or I charge Apple users 30% more to make up that difference. And guess which one I'm picking?
So yeah, if you don't want to pay 30% more, DON'T USE APPLE.
Also, Patreon is going to get rid of the first of the month billing option because of Apple too, but that's a lesser annoyance. Personally, it's better for me because of bookkeeping stuff and it's nice to know exactly how much I'm getting on exactly which date.
