Life update!

Man, it's been long since I've posted in here! I hope everyone is doing great!

This is going to be a long rant so grab your drink of choice, sit on your favorite place and enjoy! 

First of all, I'm pretty sure you're all asking, where the fuck have you been Jill? 

Here, mostly!. I've been here! working my ass off as I usually do, the sad part is I haven't been able to be on the computer much lately.

A bunch of things got together to make my life a Chaos. 

1) As many of you might know I was studying a master's degree, and this past month I just finished it! (well, I still need to work on my thesis but shhhh) so, as you can imagine that was incredibly time consuming, but at least I have one less responsibility to handle and I can work on the thesis at my own pace and in my spare time. 

2) One of my day jobs is being part of a really smol work team that produces local specialized magazines. I've been working there for five years now, producing a bimestral magazine but that changed last year where our kind bosses decided we could do twice the work, producing another magazine in the off months for a meager pay rise but with the same work team, and we're still adjusting to these new-totally-not-overwhelming-workload.

3) Personal project. as I've told you before I got an opportunity to work in a super cool personal project that would let me work as a team with my RL bestie who is an awesome writer in order to professionally publish a comic, which has been one of my life long dreams, with the downside of having a super tight deadline.

4) Burnout. since October last year I've been producing an average of 30 illustrations a month, which has been awesome and I'm super proud but with everything going I'm honestly feeling exhausted. 

5) Family issues. So, I usually don't like to come here and complain about RL since I know you guys are all dealing with your own shit, adult life and all, but I feel like you need a bit of context to understand what's going on. My family is old as fuck y'all, and old people usually get sick, a LOT. 

Past few months different close family members have gotten health emergencies that thanks to the Force have all been sorted now, but you know those things are really time and energy consuming. 

Ok you get 5 awesome points to have read all my bs until here, and you might be saying: yeah Jill, life sucks for everyone, but at least the wait have been worth it right? you have an awesome comic ready to be published and now you can focus all your art time into drawing smexy cool creepy monster people for us? 

Well, yes and no. 

Let me introduce you to the wonderful ways Mexican politician tackles culture projects. Sigh.

If you're not from here let me tell you, people in charge of Culture have NO CLUE what culture and art is about, so, the super cool project manager thought it would be a great idea to double the number of pages needed 10 days before the deadline, and not just that, he thought it would be fun to change the page format as well. 

And yes, you might thing, the page number sucks Jill, but the format is not a big deal right? you just have to scale it in order to fit the new size?. Well, it's not that simple my dear buddy, since the project manager asked us to do the project in a SQUARE format and now he wants the page to be RECTANGULAR.

So, sadly I'm not gonna be able to participate in such project, but the comic is something my friend and I still want to work on, and I will do it in a much slower pace, thinking about producing 1 or 2 pages a month in order to continue with this Patreon, and when the time comes we'll worry about how to print it or share it. 

The comic will still be in Spanish but if you guys are interested in seeing where that project goes I can totally share it here and my friend is even willing to learn how to use CPS to help me translate the comic into English so you guys can read it.

Ok Jill, you might say, that's nice and all, but WHERE THE HELL IS MY F****NG P*RN?

Worry not my dear friend, I have not forgotten about your commissions and rewards.

I'm currently working on pending patreon rewards and such, giving this Patreon priority so I can deliver pending commissions and requests as soon as possible.

So, in order for me to be able to clear up my queue and catch up with commissions and such, and to give you guys a break of throwing money into the trash I'm going to pause Patreon for a month. 

That way you can have a break from the page charges while I still work on what you have already paid for.

I'm also thinking in something cool to repay you for your patience and support.

I've never paused Patreon before so I'm not sure if the plataform is going to let me keep updating the page, but I'll be more active on Twitter showing you w.i.p.s and if needed the complete NSFW drawings will be posted in Imgur or other depository sites while I re-open this site.

Patreon will be paused tonight, and I'll respond to the comments before that, but you know you can always find me on twitter on discord, which may not be super fast but I promise to respond as soon as I can.
