Hi Everyone!

It's Monday (sort of! I'm on a weird sleep schedule right now where I'm up at night.)

I said I was going to post again on Monday to get us back on the Monday release schedule, so here I am! 197 emails were sent out to folks over the weekend who wrote in, so if you wrote me, and I haven't written you back, I may have missed your letter so just send it again and I'll get you that time!

In those emails I have frequently asked questions to address just in case folks have these questions and didn't write in:

Q: When can I get a standalone Extreme Content key?
A: As soon as the current project I'm working on is finished. The tech demo where I'm making the Besti X avatar system is going to be turned into a standalone game, and that will be avaialble with the Extreme Content key because I'm going to porn it up. I'm working on that this month so let's get it done. It's going to be 100% of my priority this week so let's see where we are on Monday and I'll follow up on this. I have been attempting to work with 3D artists on this one to make the environment for this, but the folks I work with don't know the tool I need it made in so it works properly on the Oculus Quest, so I'm going to need to do it myself and that's setting me behind a bit. There are 4 people already involved on this one so I'm hoping it A: is done this month and B: Exists as a standalone project that will attract new folks to the project and we can do a big fun launch event of the standalone keys with giveaway prizes and stuff.

Q: When can I order physical sculptures again? I want a thing!
A: I'm going to use the Besti Direct system to do that as soon as Besti X is out of or nearly out of Beta. That means Avatars and Friends need to be available in Besti X. I'm working on Avatars right now and Friends right after that, so that's not a lot to do I just need to do it. I spent a lot of time on Besti 9 content over the last few weeks so to make 100% forward progress on Besti X would result in no new content, and nobody wants that. It's getting done.

Q: SubscribeStar navigation questions/How to find keys on SubscribeStar.
A: A lot of people are having trouble navigating around SubscribeStar. Browse around you're not going to break it. Keys are available in posts as well as on Discord, but I'll see if I can sticky post the keys or something to make that easier to find. Besti Direct has a cool little "Welcome Kit" that covers this but SubscribeStar doesn't have an option quite like that. I'll see if I can find a way to simplify or streamline SubscribeStar navigation a bit.

Q: Besti Direct is sending me a lower level key/Besti Direct is sending me a higher level key/Besti Direct is sending me last month's key.
A: Definitely bugs there and I'm currently working with support at Gumroad on fixing that. This was my #1 source of emails over the last couple weeks (nearly 60 of the emails were related to this.) I am 90% sure that's fixed now, but we're one of the earliest people on this system so it's going to misbehave a little bit. Sorry about the trouble.

Q: What's the plan for June?
A: I'm going to work on implementing two new voice packs (a new boy and a new girl voice), and I'm going to work on the Avatar system for Besti X. With the Avatar system I'm going to build a new standalone program for Windows and Oculus Quest, and make content for it appropriate for the Extreme Content key. This standalone program will also give me an in-between platform to make shorter one-off experiences while finishing Besti X, so everyone benefits from this.
