The film doesn't really say it out loud but Taka's parents are both singers, of national fame at that, and the reason why he was so rebellious is that his parents really didn't want him to be a singer. But he persisted and yes, his work ethic really comes from that period when he started working at the restaurant at 16 and did all the odd jobs there, and then served customers. In another interview he said that the experience really humbled him, because he used to be a cocky kid, you know the drill, famous rich parents, he was a spoilt firstborn. Working at the restaurant literally for food and shelter taught him discipline :) Toru and Ryota's friendship is amazing, they have been best buddies since childhood. The movie doesn't talk about the second guitarist, Alex, who left the band in 2009. And Tomo is the second drummer, their furst drummer, Yu left the band in 2006 becausse he wanted to be an actor instead. That's when Tomo's teacher introduced him to the band. They already had two self-released EPs by that time. But Tomo's been with them since the major debut and the first major album. :) Thanks for the reaction, it was fun! They have a new song out, btw, called Puppets Can't Control You (audio only).
