ONE OK ROCK - This Is My Budokan LIVE 2010

One of the very first professionally recorded live performances from ONE OK ROCK! Very cool to see where they were at 14 years ago!

For sure! 🤘

Thank you so much for this. I had only ever seen a couple of clips from this show, but seeing the whole concert has reminded me just how much I love the old OOR sound, though I certainly appreciate the wider range of styles nowadays. Mikansei Koukyoukyoku (the one you really liked from near the beginning) is one of my favourites among the older songs that never seems to get mentioned or revisited much these days. I really wish they'd bring back more of the older material (though I guess we still wouldn't get to hear them outside of Asia - my biggest disappointment with the Premonition Tour was that they changed the set list so much for the European and American shows and removed every single one of the old songs I was most looking forward to...). Really enjoyed this one!

I actually tried reaching out to Oo pe to try and find a way to get all of my videos subbed and available for everyone. I originally started this to share Kaohsiung with John and then just decided to upload my entire library. Figuring out how to do all of this has been a bit difficult without any real feedback and since I have the media players that can read/play nearly everything. So I'm looking for any help to try and get subs for each concert and documentary, but it's very difficult.

Fatalistic Viking

the translations for ONE OK ROCK concerts were provided to John Reeves Live by Oo pe. You can find Oo pe in the comments below

nah

Nice! Good to know!

Jaron Geil

Of course!

Jaron Geil

Thanks for suggesting!

Jaron Geil

I could find any of there older stuff like that online, but that sounds awesome!

Jaron Geil

For sure!

Jaron Geil

I think this one has subs, but when I downloaded it, turning them on wasn’t an option. Gotta get that figured out

Jaron Geil

🤘🤘

Jaron Geil

There’s gotta an AI software that stream lines that process. I was going to look into it, but I assumed most of them would already have subs

Jaron Geil

Sounds like it!

Jaron Geil

Thanks! Appreciate it!

Jaron Geil

Thanks! 🙌🙌

Jaron Geil

Yup! Really liked the acoustic version as well!

Jaron Geil

Glad you enjoyed it!

Jaron Geil

I opened it on google drive, and it didn’t give me the option to turn on subtitles. I downloaded it and opened it with the video player on my pc, and there was still no option for subs. Is there a specific video player I need for the subtitles to work?

Jaron Geil

All of my videos come from a source that used the best video codecs, x265, and the audio is the highest quality, aka lossless. Sadly they didn't come with subs. I am trying to get in touch with him to see if we can get subs for mine. If he added an srt file it would be easy to do, but if it's hard coded I'd need the video and extract the subs. I know I could use his videos but having lossless watch is important to me.

Fatalistic Viking

I truly appreciate it. The reason I put this together is because it's so hard to get their live shows. I love to see people enjoying oor. But the subs are really important. People love their music but when you hear Taka's speeches you get to really know what kind of people they are, why they're a truly special and unlike any other any other band. If you're able to get subs for their concert feel free to email me at paulgober@gmail.com or DM me on discord. My username is Fatalistic_Viking.

Fatalistic Viking

I think I might be able to get you subtitle files for the concerts. I'll keep you posted.

Yellow_Icicle

John usually use video from Oo pe no? Oo pe video really good, have sub both talk and lyrics Is yours from Oo pe too?

YukiiChan10969

Thank you so much for reacting to this. I haven’t watched that one as well so it was fun to watch along with you.

Ryme To You

The video actually had subs, I'm not sure why he didn't turn them on. I have a Google drive with every show and have been trying to get subs for every one of them. Maybe we can find a way to get all of mine subbed. I've been sharing my Google drive link with everyone. It has festival performances and the audio from the concerts as well. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kEoDRNT1ooRvf_hxvOIhlSLQs8kg1QkX

Fatalistic Viking

I've actually talked to John about how he was able to get subbed videos. He had someone translate and add them to the video. I was hoping he might be able to get me the subtitle files but idk if it'll pan out. We're hoping we can get someone to translate all of their documentaries, which I have. They used to include one in every DVD.

Fatalistic Viking

For those interested here's a link to my Google drive with every live show, minus the 2009 one, festival performances and audio from their concerts. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kEoDRNT1ooRvf_hxvOIhlSLQs8kg1QkX Both Budokan and Zankyo Reference have subs. I'm not sure why he didn't turn them on though. I will be adding subs to the 2013 Jinsei X Kimi concert. Sadly I'm still working on getting subs for the rest of the shows. Also I do have the documentaries included in their live DVDs, but until I find subs for them I won't upload them unless people ask. If you have any problems or you can help me get subs feel free to email at paulgober@gmail.com

Fatalistic Viking

just a little correction, it wasn't a few years. it was a couple months. His father inquired around until he found out where he worked (in a restaurant) and drove there to talk to him because he recognised how similar he was to his young self who ran away from home the same way at the same age for his dreams. They talk about this in Flip a coin (on netflix).

XIA

you could see how he sings Whereever you are (the slow ballad in the middle) now during the kaohsiung live you followed along around Christmas time. It's like a 1000% improvement LOL :) I also like it more with the acoustic setting. and man, his English improved SO MUCH. :)

XIA

Thank you! I really enjoy your reaction videos! I recommend 2018 Ambitions Japan Dome Tour and 2015 35XXXV concert 🙌

Allisonne

Hi Oo Pe, Just wanna say thx for all the work you've done, creating English subs for OOR concerts. Understanding what they're saying have been an eye opener. Do you have Eng subs for the OOR documentaries as well? Like Zankyo Reference, JinseiXKimi etc?

Chriz

you should check out their Ambitions 2018 concert and Luxury Disease 2023 concert. But if you’re into heavier rock, their XXX35 2015 concert is perfect And thanks for all the reactions Keep engaging with ONE OK ROCK it’s always great to see

nah

It's crazy to see how much Taka's voice changed. He upped his singing game like 300% since this show LOL. I also feel like he takes more care of his vocal cords now than back then.

XIA

I also recommend their Ambitions 2018 live show. I think there is a version with English subs floating around (John Reaves reacted to it). The version with subs definitely makes it a better experience since there is a lot of talking.

Yellow_Icicle

plz react to luxury disease concert

nah

Dude, if I had known you were going to react to this concert, I could have given you a version of the video with my edited English subs!

Oo Pe

Nippon Budokan is a special venue for Japanese artists because it is considered to be a proving ground. OOR did also debut "Answer is Near(Song NR.16)" which would be on the set list for their 5th album "Zankyo Reference" Secondly there were 2 songs that wasn't recorded. You can find the full setlist for the Budokan concert down below. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/one-ok-rock/2010/nippon-budokan-tokyo-japan-43cc6fa7.html

Chriz

thank you, i had a lot of fun watching along with you! he was indeed getting emotional at the end, nobody's home is a very personal song for taka, it's written for his parents about the major disagreements they had over taka choosing this career path, disagreements that eventually lead to him running away from home as a teenager and not speaking to them for a few years. it's an apology for the fights, a thanks for what they did for him and a plea to support his dreams all in one. i recommend looking up a translation of the lyrics, it's a very touching song! (also to end the story on a good note, they are on way better terms nowadays!)

Alceleste

Thank you, man this is one of my favourites!

Cirrus

Thank you! I recommend ONE OK ROCK Yononaka Shredder, its their first dvd from 2007 and is mostly first album songs and stuff from their 2 indie EP's from 2005/06, in a small 500 person club in tokyo, Alex was still in the band also so hearing 2 guitars gives a different feel, lots of raw energy from a young band hungry to make it big.

TripleJ

thankyou! please next react to their concerrt from 2018. the Ambitions Japan Dome Tour 2018, its so good! their best concertt imo.

Buko Juice

Thank you for deciding my evening plan for me 😍😌
