"Bruce Wayne!!!"

Lucifer Morningstar's furious roar echoed throughout Heaven. He stormed into the room used for adjusting runes and glared at Bruce, saying, "How did you spread the story of my childhood throughout Heaven? Michael was just making fun of me for being slapped by a fish while fishing when I was young. How long has it been since then?"

"It wasn't me," Bruce said calmly. "That day, I was modifying the runes of divine power. Raphael, Ramiel, Uriel, and Michael, along with several other archangels, came to visit me because they were worried about my hard work."

"At the time, I was deleting some very old runes, the ones you left behind when you were young. You have no idea how much trouble they've caused me."

"I had been working all day, and Michael, feeling sorry for me, took the other archangels to help me delete them. It was inevitable that they would see the content within those runes."

"To be honest, you should blame God for this. The majority of the content in these ancient rune plates is not runes at all, but God's parenting diary, recording everything about your childhood."

Lucifer Morningstar's eyes widened slightly. He hadn't paid much attention to these matters even before his rebellion, and after his escape, he had no way to access them, so he had never carefully examined the rune plates.

He took a quick step forward and went to Bruce's control panel, flipping through one rune plate after another. There, he saw that almost everything about his childhood was recorded on these plates.

Lucifer Morningstar, after all, was not human. Unlike human children who have little memory before the age of three or four, he had memories from the moment of his birth and thus remembered his childhood clearly.

Even so, he had never imagined that God's records were even more detailed than his own. The rune plates documented everything, from the first time his wings molted to the day he dug up an earthworm in the Garden of Eden's river. One could say that if Lucifer Morningstar were to write a diary himself, he might not have been able to write it with such detail.

By the end, Lucifer Morningstar was left speechless.

"Runes were not originally meant to display power," Bruce said, looking up at the dense array of runes. "All the text and patterns, when they first appeared, were meant for record-keeping."

"It's just that there is an existential gap between God and all his creations, so even understanding the meaning of his casual writings is difficult for us, let alone comprehending his true intentions."

Bruce turned his head to look at Lucifer Morningstar and said, "Even if we could understand them, the memories recorded in these runes are not shared by us. Now, I've only deleted them from the power-building aspect, but all the information is still retained. If you wish, I can also completely erase them."

Lucifer Morningstar's finger tremed slightly, and he lowered his eyelids slightly to ask, "When was the last time God checked them?"

"It was three months before you returned," Bruce replied.

"No, don't delete them," Lucifer Morningstar said instinctively. Then, taking a deep breath, he said, "But don't let anyone else see them, especially my brothers and sisters. From now on, I won't allow any angel other than you to enter this room."

"Also, I might..." Lucifer Morningstar sighed softly, but continued, "I might have to leave Heaven for a while. If there are any issues, go to Michael."

Lucifer Morningstar walked to the door, turned back, and said to Bruce, "You've been working here for many days. If you have time, go and visit your professor. I'm leaving, goodbye."

After Lucifer Morningstar left, Bruce smiled. With Lucifer Morningstar's status far surpassing that of any angel, and his temperament and mood being hard to fathom, it was difficult for Bruce to cause trouble. But with Lucifer Morningstar gone, Michael, the moral standard-bearer, would be much easier to deal with.

Michael's behavior patterns were much easier to understand than Lucifer Morningstar's. The gap between them was like the difference between a fun-seeker and a routine-follower.

Lucifer Morningstar, with nothing better to do, would go wherever the fun was. If there was no fun to be had, he would create it himself. He had no fixed behavior patterns. For the sake of entertainment, he could be a good guy or a bad guy, a golden-armored warrior or a scheming mastermind. Bruce understood this type of person all too well.

On the other hand, Michael's every action was aimed at maintaining stability, with a high moral bottom line. He believed that both the process and the result must be just, and as long as there was a noble cause, he would not impose too many restrictions. Moreover, bound by his own moral standards, he would never deceive or launch a surprise attack, catching others off guard.

Just looking at their names, it was clear who was easier to deal with. After sending Lucifer Morningstar away, Bruce finally began his fishing endeavor.

Bruce needed a knowledgeable and practical Constantine to help him update the underlying rules of runes, but there was a problem that had to be addressed: the countless spaces and the varying professional levels of the Constantines.

In Bruce's estimation, the Constantine in his space might be less professional due to his younger age, although he had already mastered deception and negotiation techniques. However, he still lacked depth in academic research.

If this was the case, Bruce should look for an older version of Constantine. However, the problem was that younger sorcerers could pay a higher price, and therefore had greater power. As they aged, their bodies weakened, and the price they could pay decreased, making their souls less valuable and their power weaker.

If Bruce were to bring in an older version of Constantine, he would have the knowledge, but not the power, which would still leave him lacking in practical means.

Therefore, he needed to find a balanced Constantine who had a good understanding of runeology and had the energy and power to conduct various experiments. In simple terms, someone who could endure Bruce's antics.

Changing the underlying rules of a discipline was already as difficult as climbing a mountain, let alone creating a new foundational discipline, which was beyond human capability.

In the entire space, perhaps only Batman would have the ambition to do what others couldn't, and only the most excellent Constantine could keep up with Batman's pace.

So, Bruce began to repeatedly modify the rules of some commonly used summoning magic arrays in the rune adjustment room. This was his bait.

There were several advantages to this approach: First, only Constantines with rich theoretical knowledge and high academic standards would be able to discover the changes in runes and have the ability to quickly utilize the new runes to form a magic circle. This would eliminate the younger and less academically inclined Constantines.

On the other hand, the speed at which the runes were changed was so fast that every time Heaven modified a rune, Constantine had to work day and night to update the usage methods. Each time the rune structure was altered, Constantine had to re-infuse power to test if it could still be used.

This situation meant that only Constantines in their prime, with abundant energy and reserves, could handle such tasks. Younger and older Constantines lacked the energy to endure such a process.

Additionally, any Constantine who followed Bruce's antics would have confidence in their rune research abilities and a certain obsession with runeology. Otherwise, why insist on using Heaven's rune style?

It was like a role-playing game that changed the strength rankings three or four times a day. One hour the character might be a perfect human rights card, and the next, a warehouse manager.

In such a situation, only a player who was both dedicated and willing to spend money, with a strong obsession for the game, could possibly train a team of characters to complete dungeons. Ordinary and casual players would have long since abandoned the game.

The bait Bruce set was only for young, strong, and intelligent fish to bite. The Constantine from the Prime Universe was no exception. After fully understanding the situation, he also developed another idea.

He stood in the center of the magic circle, which had been modified countless times, and thought about one of the runes. After a while, Jason, stretching lazily, walked over and asked sleepily, "You've been up for two nights in a row. Isn't it done yet?"

"Heaven might be trying to completely update the rune rules," Constantine said in a hoarse voice. "This angel who keeps changing the rune rules seems to be exploring a universal underlying rule... Interesting, very interesting."

"He wants to establish a discipline," Constantine muttered to himself. "But as far as I know, there is no archangel in charge of rune structure and power application. These noble super-beings would rather be slapped by fish in the Garden of Eden than think about more efficient ways to use divine power."

"What's wrong with that?" Jason spread his hands. "They're angels. Using divine power is as easy as eating and drinking for them. It's us, the weak humans, who need to find ways to use energy efficiently."

"But the problem is, they've been using it this way for so long. Why are they suddenly thinking of changing it now?"

Constantine thought for a moment, then said in a slightly disbelieving tone, "A new archangel has been born?... This is an opportunity, a perfect opportunity!"

Jason, seeing Constantine suddenly walking quickly to the material-making table, asked in confusion, "Opportunity? What opportunity?"

"If I have the chance to influence this newborn archangel's understanding of rune structure, then I'll have the chance to leave my mark on the newly established rune discipline and underlying rune rules. I'll be the one printing the textbooks, and I can leave any backdoors I want."

"You're so shameless," Tim said, staring at him as he walked in.

"You don't understand. With a month of hard work, we'll have a lifetime of happiness. The good days for me and the magical realm are coming!"

"Friends, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If we can make use of this chance, divine power will likely become the most important pillar of the magical realm for the next thousand or even ten thousand years!"

In the meeting hall of Gotham Magic College, Strange, very excited, knocked on the blackboard and said, "The deity in your world is updating the underlying rules of a system. If we can interfere with, influence, or even control him, then we will become the rule-makers."

Strange leaned on the meeting table and looked at everyone in the room. "Do you know what this means?"

"It means that you and the magical realm in your space will embark on a path that is different from ours but equally powerful. We wield power, and you will harness rules."

A storm of ambition swirled in Strange's eyes, sweeping through the entire room. "Absorb power through rules, change rules with power, borrow money to make guns, use guns to rob money—friends, the good days of the magical realm are truly coming!"
