Friday Devlog. Current project status and HD update.

Hello everyone!

I spent this week fixing bugs (thanks for your reports) and planning new updates.  

Also, I know that a lot of you asked me about graphic updates for The Last Barbarian project.

Previously, I tried to use experimental Unity packages for different demo scenes. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here are the links:

Fortunately, Unity is evolving, so I can start transfer existing mechanics to the new engine. Why transferring? Because the difference between versions of the projects is quite  huge.

This is a enormous piece of work, but I want to make the game look the way I imagine it and I will try to do it. If everything goes as I planned, then the current project of The Last Barbarian should be perceived as a "sandbox" where various mechanics, ideas and suggestions (yours and  mine), are "boiling" together. 

But the HD project will use the best of parts. 

I prefer to work with templates, it greatly simplifies the search for bugs in the finished product and helping to expand existing content with small effort .  I started my transfer by developing a standard solution for typical scenes. Typical scenes are: Outdoor locations (Arena, N'akhzeran, Stormwind Valley), Indoors (inn, brothel, tavern) and Dungeons. So I started from Indoor scenes

I decided to pay attention to the details of the lighting and the interior, but at the same time try to keep a balance between performance and visuals.

I back to work on a new release for the "standard" project and will keep you informed about all updates
