In a cascade of green, a figure crashed onto the Brooklyn Bridge's surface, and the appearance of Hulk in this place was not surprising. What was unexpected, however, was that another red figure soon followed.

"Red Hulk??" Matt exclaimed with widened eyes. "Why is he here? And what's he up to?"

"Isn't he a product of military experiments?" Erica threw a series of darts, fending off the nearby bats. "If it were the military, they would have shown up long ago. Why now?"

"That suggests he might not be sent by the military," Matt squinted his eyes and continued, "Let's not worry about him; let's proceed with our plan."

Erica glanced back at the relatively stable front line and said, "Follow me; I've already located a sniper position for you. I'll take you there."

A few minutes later, Matt found himself on the rooftop of a nearby building, the highest one around. Standing on the edge, he could oversee the entire battlefield. At this moment, an oddly shaped rifle was set up.

Calling it a rifle was not entirely accurate; it looked more like a rocket launcher. And the ammunition it contained wasn't ordinary weaponry; it was an enchantment cross made by Eric the Vampire Hunter and other vampires working together.

Erik, who had arrived shortly, spoke up, "We all know Dracula is immortal, but he can still be affected by certain enchanted items, temporarily paralyzing him."

"Although we can't kill him, sealing him away is possible. As long as we can successfully drive this cross into his heart, it should at least keep him from empowering other vampires."

"His power enhancement might be related to moonlight. Although I've never seen him use such abilities, it's undeniable that this power is formidable. All the vampires touched by moonlight gain significantly enhanced physical abilities and strength."

"However, without Dracula's enhancement, the police have Freeze Guns, and other superheroes have their unique abilities. At least, if we can hold out until tomorrow morning, the vampires will retreat out of fear of sunlight."

Matt was now standing next to the sniper rifle. "Fortunately, we were well-prepared. Beheading remains the most effective plan."

Adjusting the rifle's position, Matt began regulating his breath. He activated his unique ability, the 'Mind's Eye,' which was vastly superior to a regular human's vision.

When he focused his mind, he became a human radar, with everything within a few kilometers displayed meticulously in his mind, down to the smallest detail.

Time gradually slowed down, frame by frame, as various scenes appeared in Matt's mind.

Bats opened their mouths slowly, revealing worn fangs, and glints of light passed over their teeth, transforming into bullets flying through the air at high speed.

The dark trace on the bullet's tip, brushing past the edge of bat wings, barely missing a grenade, and piercing through Dracula's heart in the midst of the vampires' terrified expressions.

Blood-red mist descended like wilting flowers, and Dracula plummeted straight down. In the final second, he incarnated into a bat, veering off in another direction.

"Quick, catch up with him! Don't let him escape!" Blade hunter Erik shouted first. "We must seal him away, or the vampires will return!"

In an instant, the battlefield froze as everyone's attention focused on the giant, glowing red bat.

Leading the pursuit were Otto, the closest to Dracula, followed by Hulk and Lizard Man on the bridge, Spider-Man and Jessica, soaring through the air, and Nightshade, Bacteria Man, and other young superheroes mixed with the police. Finally, there were the police officers themselves.

Since this bat invasion had a lengthy prelude, most people received the news and were hiding in their homes.

Dracula, seemingly injured and unable to adjust his flight path, flew in a straight line along the road. There were hardly any houses or rugged terrain along his path, giving everyone ample space to chase him.

George, driving at the rear of the team, felt puzzled. He leaned out of the car and looked at the massive glowing bat flying in the sky. "What's up with this vampire called Dracula? He's injured, but still glowing?"

"Well, boss, maybe he can't turn it off? I read somewhere that the more special effects these monsters have, the stronger they are..."

"That's because special effects can intimidate people during a fight," George furrowed his brow. "But even when fleeing, he's still glowing. Isn't he just making himself a target?"

At this point, he shook his head and said, "Never mind, these giant rats aren't exactly the brightest. Their leader can't be much smarter. Keep chasing!"

"By the way, where's our helicopter? Did it receive the bomb device? Maybe we can give him a serious blow!" George clenched his teeth.

The police officers behind him grabbed their communication devices, made a few inquiries, and then reported, "The bomb device prepared at the laboratory has been successfully loaded onto the helicopter. The pilot is on his way here. With his speed, it should arrive in no more than ten minutes..."

George snorted and said, "This bat dares to fly along the road without knowing any better, and he's flying so high? Notify the pilot to flank this big bat from the other side. Once it's within range, detonate the bomb in mid-air!"

"Received!"

After Dracula began his escape, most of the bats followed him in another direction. On the ground, apart from those who couldn't run or regular police officers, heroes with superior mobility chased after Dracula.

Initially, Otto, leading the charge, fell behind due to his unconventional method of movement. Lizard Man, who had changed his lizard limb structure to a bipedal form, lacked speed and also fell behind.

Spider-Man and most of the others couldn't fly, so they couldn't compete with Dracula in terms of altitude, maintaining a considerable distance from him.

Currently, the closest to Dracula were Jessica, who could fly freely, Hulk, who leaped to great heights in anger, and Venom, who glided using his symbiotic wings.

In simple terms, the more experienced, cautious, and thoughtful individuals were left trailing behind, while the younger, less intelligent, and crazier ones charged ahead.

Meanwhile, in the opposite direction, another chase battle was unfolding.

Nitro, whose entire body had a dark red hue, yelled as he ran, "What's up with that crazy guy behind us? Why won't he stop chasing us?!!"

"Isn't that the kid named Fastball from before? That young and foolish superhero who caused an explosion and killed Spider-Man, hahaha!!" another person chimed in.

"It seems like he wants to avenge Spider-Man. Nitro, you're in trouble!" another criminal shouted.

Nitro cursed under his breath and dodged the incoming power balls. He coughed a couple of times, feeling uncomfortable. He said, "Damn it... I didn't fully release the power I accumulated that day. I feel like there's a fire burning in my chest!"

Suddenly, in the distance, two blonde figures flashed by.

Cobalt Man, leading the pack, hesitated for a moment. He shook his head vigorously, as if he was under some control. However, he quickly regained his composure and said, "We can't keep running like this. Sooner or later, he'll catch up!"

"What do you suggest, then?" Nitro asked as he looked back. "That kid's gone mad! He's not afraid of getting hurt, and his abilities are too strange. If we stay within his range, I can't even run!"

"I heard there's a government officials' meeting going on nearby. If we can take hostages, someone will naturally deal with him!"

Nitro looked surprised at his teammate. As far as he knew, Cobalt Man wasn't particularly well-informed, but seeing the serious expression on Cobalt Man's face, Nitro narrowed his eyes.

He felt that there was no need for the other guy to lie. After all, they were all in the same boat now, and if they were caught, they would all be done for. Nitro gritted his teeth and said, "Lead the way. Those cowardly politicians will definitely save us!"

Cobalt Man immediately led them in another direction. Surprisingly, their destination wasn't the center of New York City but a small island closer to the coastline.

This island was located in Lower New York Bay, not too far from Brooklyn. Nitro and the other criminals seized a speedboat to reach the island. As soon as they set foot on the island, they spotted a helicopter within their line of sight.

Several criminals were stunned, but then Nitro said, "I guess it's here to pick up those politicians. Ignore it; let's rush in and take hostages!"

Just as they turned to leave, they saw a shaky bat silhouette in the skyline within their field of vision. This bat emitted a radiant red glow, becoming even more noticeable in the moonlight. It flew unsteadily, as if intoxicated. However, upon spotting the small island, it suddenly seemed to regain its senses, accelerating toward them.

The criminals who had just landed on the island didn't understand what was happening. However, Jessica, who was chasing after the bat, squinted her eyes and muttered, "Wait a minute, those people down there... My goodness, aren't they the criminals who killed Spider-Man??"

Jessica gasped and then felt an overwhelming rage. Spider-Man had always been her idol, and her schoolmates adored the superhero. When she saw the news of Spider-Man's gruesome death, Jessica had vowed to bring his killers to justice.

With rage ignited, Jessica charged at Nitro without hesitation. At the same time, George was talking into the radio, saying, "Have you found the target? Gain altitude and prepare to release the bomb. Also, be careful not to affect the ground!"

The technicians on the helicopter prepared to launch the bomb, but at that moment, Hulk, who was chasing behind, leaped high and tackled the large bat, pinning it to the ground.

The bomb that should have detonated in the air was suddenly captured by a black, sticky tendril and hurled towards Nitro.

On the other side, Jessica landed a punch on Nitro's back, sending him flying. Nitro, fueled by rage, unleashed the power that had been bottled up since Spider-Man had punched him last time.

Just as Jessica was about to pursue, she suddenly noticed a massive bomb hurtling toward her from the opposite side.

Although this young superhero was impulsive, she wasn't foolish. She slammed on the brakes, rapidly gaining altitude. Just as she was about to collide with the bomb, she swiftly ascended into the sky.

Then, in her line of sight, a horrifying collision unfolded between Nitro and the bomb.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the small island, concealed behind a raised hill, General squinted his eyes and said with confusion, "Did you hear the sound of the helicopter?"

"Boom—Boom!!!!!!!!!"

After a tiny dot of light ignited, a blinding ball of light expanded. Following that, an eardrum-shattering explosion resounded.

After the initial dazzling burst of light, the entire island shattered and soared into the sky.

Amid the fragments, strange blood, organs, and human tissues, accompanied by the dazzling and rotten spectacle of the cigarette, danced through the air.

Bloody, seductive, and eerie, with an ultimate sense of ritual, it resembled a crazy and twisted sacrifice.

In the radiance of the flames, it shone like a myriad of dazzling stars turned rotten.
