However, even though the satellite black market exists, the European and American capitalists are not to be underestimated.
After selling off satellites that were about to be decommissioned or malfunctioning on the black market, the control centers were still under their control.
Some wealthy or influential customers could send people to the control center when purchasing satellites or receive a ground data receiving vehicle.
For more detailed operations, they needed to establish proper contact with the seller first.
However, Sun Cheng didn't have as many restrictions. During his time in the Transformers Universe, he had encountered numerous satellites and even developed a set of backend control software specifically to steal control of Lao Maozi's satellites when needed.
After acquiring several satellites on the black market, the control issues were quickly resolved by Sun Cheng's miniature Decepticons.
So, after receiving his command, Xiao Wu quickly awakened a weather satellite over the Pacific Ocean.
He ordered it to adjust its orbit and focus on Nubra Island in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
After about twenty minutes, a series of low-resolution images appeared on a laptop computer specially customized by Sun Cheng for experimentation, although the resolution wasn't as high as military spy satellites or Google Earth standards. However, it was sufficient.
Typhoon Clarissa had undoubtedly devastated Nubra Island, uprooting tall trees, causing widespread collapses of buildings and walls on the island, and littering the beaches with plastic and garbage blown in from unknown sources.
Sun Cheng even saw the corpses of some massive dinosaurs. These prehistoric giants were evidently unable to withstand the catastrophic force of this Category 5 typhoon, resulting in extensive fatalities among the island's dinosaurs.
As he examined these satellite images for a while, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. Thankfully, during his years of study in South Capital, he had experienced several typhoons and witnessed the terrifying power of such natural disasters. This experience led him to choose Nubra Island for his base in the real world, and he realized that his efforts on the island in recent days had not been in vain.
Otherwise, his losses wouldn't have been limited to just Base Three, and even the robots responsible for construction might have suffered heavy losses due to this typhoon.
As he thought about it more, he felt a sense of relief and finally asked, "How many of our stations on the island are still operational?"
Xiao Wu replied, "Command received, attempting to check. Please wait..."
Then followed a long wait as it used a communication satellite to activate some of the equipment Sun Cheng had left on the island before heading back.
About ten minutes later, Xiao Wu's cold electronic voice spoke again, "Master, the feedback data indicates that only two stations can be awakened at the moment. Should I activate them?"
"Activate all of them and have the reconnaissance equipment transmit higher-resolution images!"
"Understood!"
Half an hour later, as Sun Cheng looked at the clearer images displayed on the laptop computer, he alternated between furrowing his brow and relaxing it quickly.
After a while, he sighed with relief and murmured to himself, "Fortunately, this level of loss is manageable."
Just as he had selected Nubra Island as the location for his real-world Base Three, it was hit by a rare Category 5 typhoon.
Honestly, there was a moment when Sun Cheng doubted his choice. Was this remote island really suitable for building a base?
Although not many people would venture near Nubra Island, the threat of the typhoon to the island base was almost as significant as it was to humans.
Luckily, he had left behind signal receiving stations that were still operational before leaving. Through the tiny mosquito-like micro-scouts they deployed, he saw the impact of the typhoon on the island's structures, trees, and dinosaurs.
However, the location of Base Three was well-chosen. It happened to be on the densely forested northwest ridge of the island, nestled in a valley formed by the intersection of three small mountains.
The ridge effectively reduced the damage caused by the strong winds, but the typhoon's torrential rain inevitably led to extensive flooding in the valley.
Fortunately, the International Genetic Technology Corporation had already established a series of drainage pipelines on Nubra Island.
Clearly, they had also experienced typhoons and heavy rain, so while some of the base facilities built by robots had been submerged in mud and water due to the downpour, the cleanup was a relatively easy task for Sun Cheng's robots.
"Base Three doesn't need to be relocated... The country should take action in the next few days, and I can't leave for the time being... After finishing this busy period, I'll visit Nubra Island again... Base One doesn't require major adjustments anymore. Safeguard can be sent there later to continue supervising the construction of Base Three..."
After weighing the pros and cons in his mind, Sun Cheng quickly made a decision.
For him, Nubra Island was indeed a suitable location for his Base Three in the real world. He was a human himself, had experience dealing with Earth's national forces in the Transformers Universe, and naturally had a deep understanding of the human race.
"People are naturally distrustful of those from different backgrounds and countries, and it's not just a saying from Xia Country's ancestors. It applies to all races and nations."
Decepticons and robots were destined never to gain the trust of humans. Even though Sun Cheng had never intended to cause trouble in the real world, he had to consider the potential problems that might arise after exposure.
As he recalled his contact with the Precision Instrument Manufacturing Company in Shen Cheng during the day, he suddenly had an idea.
"By the way, European and American countries have been focusing on exoskeleton armor in recent years... I've also done some research in this field and acquired some knowledge... Maybe I should try to obtain a Defense Military Industrial Contractor License from the country. Using this as an opportunity, I can venture into the field of robotics without worrying about exposing the Decepticons and robots I brought back from another world..."
The more Sun Cheng thought about it, the more he believed that his idea had potential.
As for how a microelectronics expert currently involved in hard drive production could possess such technical knowledge, Sun Cheng had already thought of suitable excuses.
"Connecting with the country successfully... can be considered a significant achievement... I can use this opportunity to request some cutting-edge technology from the organization behind me... This excuse should work..."
