Chapter 526: Typhoon Strikes

Transformers Begin : Table of Content/Chapter List

XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX

Two days had passed in the blink of an eye, and Sun Cheng rubbed his somewhat weary eyes. He knew it was time to go back.

There were too many people keeping an eye on him now. Previously, he had used the excuse of feeling unwell to explain his absence and had informed the Corporation that he needed a rest for two or three days.

As for Ye Qi, he had come up with other excuses to evade her inquiries.

A brief disappearance for a few days could be easily explained, but if it lasted too long, it would undoubtedly raise unnecessary suspicions and investigations, which would greatly affect Sun Cheng's real-world strategies.

However, two days were still too short.

Even though the engineering and construction robots Sun Cheng had brought back from the Transformers Universe were far more efficient than human construction teams, they still required time.

In just two days, they had only managed to survey the entire terrain of Nubra Island and had located a valley in the densely packed mountainous region on the northwest side of Nubra Island, formed by the convergence of three small mountains.

This area was originally planned as the habitat for the Tyrannosaurus Rex by the International Genetic Technology Corporation on Nubra Island. Nearby were the defense works and drainage systems originally built by the Corporation, which Sun Cheng had discovered and was now utilizing.

Similar to the first and Base Two, Base Three was also hidden inside and underground in the mountains. Although this undoubtedly increased the difficulty of constructing the base, the benefits were clear. It allowed Sun Cheng to effectively evade the surveillance of foreign spy satellites and even military reconnaissance aircraft from outer space until he became powerful enough.

In Sun Cheng's eyes, Nubra Island was undoubtedly a treasure island. Its terrain was extremely unique and exemplified the marvels of nature.

Nubra Island had an overall oblique triangular shape, somewhat resembling the shape of South America, with a particularly similar outline to Brazil's map.

The island was higher in the west and lower in the east, with winding and undulating mountain ridges in the west and north, blocking excess sea winds and moisture from the Pacific Ocean on the outer periphery of the island.

One side featured a rainforest, while the other side had ordinary mountain forests, and the central and southwestern regions of the island consisted of vast plains.

The diverse environment created an excellent living space for the prehistoric giants, the dinosaurs, on the island.

So, even though the International Genetic Technology Corporation had abandoned Nubra Island for several months, during these months, the number of dinosaurs on the island seemed to have increased compared to when there were people taking care of them.

Sun Cheng didn't pay much attention to the dinosaurs on the island. These prehistoric giants appeared powerful, but honestly, in front of a human civilization that had already entered the space age, they were quite vulnerable. At most, they could only bully individual specimens.

The total number of dinosaurs on Nubra Island had already exceeded four to five thousand, with over eighty percent of them being herbivorous dinosaurs, while omnivorous and carnivorous dinosaurs made up less than one-fifth of the total.

In Sun Cheng's experience, with a fully armed elite squad of one hundred people, as long as they were well-coordinated, eliminating those dinosaurs on the island was only a matter of time and resource consumption.

Even if there were Tyrannosaurus Rex or Velociraptors on the island, a shot from a large-caliber anti-material sniper rifle to the brain would yield predictable results.

Sun Cheng had been in close contact with dinosaurs before, and he never doubted their ability to resist harm with their scale-like skin.

But times had changed, and humans had long surpassed the era of cold weapons. In the age of firearms, even behemoths like the herbivorous Brachiosaurus, which looked like tall buildings, could be brought down with a single RPG shot.

If not, then two shots would suffice.

So, Sun Cheng never considered the dinosaurs on the island as a threat to himself. He regarded the dinosaurs on Nubra Island as guard dogs and was already considering their feasibility.

In the Transformers Universe, under his command, the Decepticon engineering team had conducted a series of brutal experiments.

Sun Cheng had a group of humans who attached themselves to him for power and status. They had obtained a large number of sword offenders and drug lords from Brazilian prisons. The Decepticon engineers directly injected them with diluted energy fluid or implanted control chips in their bodies, even in their brains, in an attempt to find a way to free themselves from the fragile human body.

Although no experiments had been successful so far, during this process, the engineers had collected a vast amount of data.

For example, installing control chips into the human body is indeed feasible, but the materials, size of the chips, and the success rate of direct connections to motor or brain nerves still require further exploration.

Sun Cheng didn't mind continuing his research in the Real World.

After returning to the Real World, without his Frenzymechanical body, he didn't act as recklessly as he had in the Transformers Universe, where his thought patterns had seemed to transform into those of a Decepticon.

In the Real World, he wouldn't consider experimenting on humans, not even death row inmates, for the time being.

However, when it came to experimenting on animals, Sun Cheng had no sense of guilt.

There were so many dinosaurs on Nubra Island, and a long time ago, he had even stolen a lot of information from the International Genetic Technology Corporation's servers on Nubra Island.

Unfortunately, he had initially felt that it wasn't of much use, and he had also later learned that the real technology center of the International Genetic Technology Corporation was on Isla Sorna.

So, Sun Cheng hadn't paid much attention afterward, and he had left these things in the care of the mini Decepticons he had brought back.

These items could be taken out for research in the future, and perhaps he could reverse-engineer some mature biological genetic technologies from them.

It turned out that the International Genetic Technology Corporation indeed had a few tricks up its sleeve.

They managed to extract dinosaur DNA from a mosquito trapped in prehistoric amber, reverse-engineer it, and ultimately cultivate dinosaurs, those prehistoric giants. Anyone with a bit of biological knowledge would understand how absurd that was.

But strangely enough, it had succeeded, indicating the other party's technological prowess in the field of biological genetics.

"Crack!"

The sound of a branch breaking underfoot interrupted Sun Cheng's thoughts.

Following the sound, he immediately saw a robotic soldier carrying a plasma cannon walking towards him.

And perched on the soldier's shoulder was a mini Decepticon the size of a squirrel—Xiao Wu.

"Master, you need to return as soon as possible!" Xiao Wu approached and spoke in a cold mechanical voice.

"Is something wrong at home?" Sun Cheng frowned slightly but didn't appear overly concerned.

When he came to Nubra Island, he left Revenge at the residence. In case of an emergency, it could send a remote emergency communication to contact Xiao Wu.

However, if someone did target Ye Qi, Revenge would forcibly take her to the safehouse. The safehouse also had robotic soldiers left by Sun Cheng and couldn't be easily breached in a short amount of time.

So, Sun Cheng wasn't too worried.

Xiao Wu jumped down from the soldier robot's shoulder, and after losing control over it, the soldier robot's blue lights in its eyes flickered briefly. Once it recovered, it continued patrolling along its original route, remaining on alert.

Xiao Wu climbed into Sun Cheng's outstretched hand and said, "We just received two messages. The cargo ship traveling from Manila to Shen Cheng will arrive at its destination in four hours... and we received a remote radio warning signal from the Costa Rica Government. A super-strong typhoon named Clarissa has already formed and will arrive at Nubra Island in a maximum of three hours... Estimated typhoon category: Category 4!"

Sun Cheng's face changed upon hearing this. Xia Country was also a high-risk typhoon area, and South Capital was affected almost every year.

A Category 4 typhoon passing through, for a small island like Nubra Island with a total area of just over 50 square kilometers, couldn't be described as anything less than catastrophic; it would be more appropriate to call it a disaster.

"Gather the robots; we need to evacuate immediately. After the typhoon passes, we can continue our work!"
