Chapter 237 Comes True (Part 2)

Transformers Begin : Table of Content/Chapter List

Several huge shipping containers suddenly appeared in the dock, startling not only the Russians but also the Forerunner who had been following Sun Cheng closely. Fear was evident on their faces.

Since entering the shipyard, Sun Cheng's Core had been scanning non-stop, making him even more fearful than the Russians. However, when the containers appeared, he failed to detect any changes.

"Your Excellency, please..."

With a snap of his fingers, several enormous containers that Sun Cheng himself had personally modified disintegrated, revealing the fully equipped interior.

This trade with the Russians involved a steady supply of rare metals and uranium ore, so Sun Cheng had no intentions of playing games. He not only brought everything stipulated in the previous agreement but also included two new gadgets.

He turned his attention to the only unopened container nearby, which held his ace in the hole for Russia. It was a brand-new product that he had not shown the Russians during their first encounter in Moscow—an industrial-grade thermonuclear reactor!

The so-called industrial-grade thermonuclear reactor was a compact version produced by Atlas when they were designing their own reactor for the second base.

In terms of Earth's technology classification, it would fall into the category of a fourth-and-a-half generation reactor. The Core device was only one-ninth the size of the commercial nuclear reactor used in the nuclear power plant built by Russia for Brazil, yet its power output was nearly three times greater.

Even with Russia's more advanced domestic reactor technology, they could not come close to matching it.

Sun Cheng's decisive actions put everyone on edge, and Dmitri couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, fearing an unforeseen outburst.

After a brief whispered conversation with a military officer accompanying him, the officer quickly departed. Shortly thereafter, dozens of Russian technicians, the youngest appearing to be in their forties, swarmed into the dock to inspect the equipment brought for the trade.

Sun Cheng observed their activities with interest, but it was clear that his engineers, though fewer in number, were more efficient.

Soon, two engineers returned to him, still visibly excited, and eagerly reported.

"Master, the items have been inspected. Except for the enriched uranium ore, which is only half of the agreed amount, everything else is intact!"

The engineers could quickly and accurately detect items through scanning.

Upon hearing their report, Sun Cheng's expression turned displeased. He turned to Dmitri and asked coldly, "Your Excellency, my engineers have completed their inspection. Your deceitful tactics have displeased me. The enriched uranium is only half of what was agreed upon. I demand an explanation..."

Dmitri was taken aback by the mechanical lifeform's swift ability to evaluate the situation and felt somewhat embarrassed, knowing that it was he who proposed reducing the amount of enriched uranium.

Uranium, in any form, was a strategic resource on Earth. Even the low-enriched uranium they were trading, which had no potential for weaponization and was strictly for power generation, was still a valuable commodity that would diminish their domestic reserves if sold.

However, as a skilled politician, Dmitri maintained his composure and wore a troubled expression as he replied, "Your Excellency Frenzy, uranium mining is exceptionally challenging, and we have limited reserves domestically. It is simply impossible to gather the planned amount of enriched uranium within a week."

Naturally, such an explanation could only appease those who were unaware of the situation.

Sun Cheng snorted coldly. "These dumb-looking Russians can be cunning when they want to deceive someone."

He had thoroughly investigated Russia and though he wasn't sure how much they had in stock, it was definitely not a small amount.

Without hesitation, he walked up to the unopened container and lightly tapped it. In the next moment, the container vanished into thin air. "I despise people who break their promises. It seems that the little gift I prepared for you is unnecessary!" He then approached Dmitry and his group, lowering himself slightly with a fierce expression. "As punishment for your betrayal, we'll take the other Typhoon-class ballistic missile nuclear submarine docked in the naval base. Consider it compensation for your breach of trust!"

Dmitry's face darkened upon hearing this.

Although he didn't know the contents of the container, he figured it couldn't be anything ordinary.

Demanding an additional Typhoon-class submarine after receiving only half of the agreed-upon enriched uranium was an unbearable reality for Russia.

Just as Dmitry was about to argue, Sun Cheng forcefully interrupted, "This is the first time, and I hope it's the last. Otherwise, we'll have to consider finding a new partner!"

With a cold and stern expression, he glanced at Dmitry and the others, then turned his attention to the Russian technicians who were still examining the equipment provided by Sun Cheng.

"We're wasting time!"

He waved his hand, and rows of neatly lined up industrial robots and combat machines appeared on the surrounding open ground, instantly intensifying the atmosphere in the dock.

Sun Cheng noticed this, but he was irritated by Russia's dishonesty, so he pretended not to see it and immediately called two engineers. "Engineers, lead the robots and start the equipment!"

In a moment of eye contact, he had already transferred the control program and functionalities of the industrial robots to the two engineers.

After a brief moment of processing the data, the two engineers couldn't help but show excited expressions as they looked at the neatly arranged fifty industrial robots in front of them.

"Master, leave it to us!"

They immediately took command of the industrial robots and swiftly activated the five-axis CNC machines and other equipment manufactured by Atlas. Since the equipment's operating language had already been adjusted to Russian, the Russian technicians stood closely by, observing with excitement, asking questions one after another.

"Alright, Your Excellency Prime Minister. I believe our deal has been successfully concluded... All the equipment is here, and I'm sure your technicians understand its performance better than anyone. The engineers who specialize in building the Yasen Kai Attack Nuclear Submarines are already here, and they will construct two nuclear submarines for you. As for the person beside me, he will be responsible for the security of my engineers in Beigang... Now, I must take my leave... The next transaction will be as per your request, in one month's time. I hope you won't disappoint me again..."
