Chapter 203 Encountering the sidewalk by chance (Part 1)

Transformers Begin : Table of Content/Chapter List

The Arctic Ocean is perhaps the quietest ocean in the world.

Of course, this quiet does not refer to the environment.

Although there are many countries along the coast of the Arctic Ocean, only Russia and the United States are truly capable of competing for control over this ocean.

Russia has a significant advantage in the Arctic Ocean. Its vast territory provides a large number of ports along the Arctic coast. Additionally, since the time of Tsarist Russia, the country has established the Arctic Ocean Fleet and formulated a clear blueprint for asserting control over the Arctic Ocean through military means.

After the formation of the former Soviet Union, the Arctic Ocean Fleet was expanded and renamed the Red Navy Northern Fleet, becoming even more formidable.

By the 1970s and 1980s, leveraging the strength of the Soviet Union, the Northern Fleet had grown to become the largest and most powerful naval fleet among the five major Soviet fleets.

Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Northern Fleet was inherited by the Russian Federation. Despite the significant reduction in the strength of the Russian Navy after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Northern Fleet remained intact.

The formidable combination of the Kirov-class cruisers and Typhoon-class ballistic missile nuclear submarines allows the Northern Fleet to operate throughout the entire Arctic Circle, as well as in the North Atlantic and the waters surrounding Canada.

Beneath the ice and snow covering the Arctic Ocean lies an unimaginable wealth of resources.

Naturally, the United States is unwilling to allow Russia to monopolize this treasure trove. In fact, since the middle of the last century, when the U.S. military manufactured the world's first nuclear-powered submarine, the Nautilus, they wasted no time sending it under the ice the following year to cross the North Pole, marking the beginning of half a century of uninterrupted exploration.

However, although the United States has intentions to enter the Arctic Ocean, Russia will not easily yield, and both sides engage in overt and covert struggles.

Just as the Americans have overwhelmed Russia's Pacific Fleet, the Northern Fleet has repelled the ambitions of the U.S. military through numerous trials.

Deep beneath the sea in the extreme north, the Ghost submarine is traveling at a speed of nearly forty knots, rapidly approaching the Bering Strait and the Pacific Ocean.

"Master, as per your instructions, I have completed the task. Just two days prior to your arrival, I received a reply from the other party in the mailbox you had me monitor!"

Inside the Ghost submarine, Sun Cheng is sitting cross-legged in the dismantled main rest area of the original submarine, with a diminutive Scout Decepticon standing on his lap, respectfully reporting the situation to him.

This Scout Decepticon is the same one that Sun Cheng left behind in Ny-Ålesund, responsible for infiltrating the Yellow River Station and relaying contact information to China.

It was recently retrieved.

Rubbing his metallic chin, a faint smile appears on Sun Cheng's face.

He expected a reaction from China. During his time in the world of Transformers, he paid close attention to this country and realized that the external environment of China in this world is not much better than the real world.

Internally, there are changes in the political system and public sentiment, while externally, there are various complexities involving Europe, America, and neighboring countries. This country, which aspires for rejuvenation, truly requires external assistance.

And he, clearly, can assume this role.

"Well done!"

Sun Cheng nodded at him in satisfaction, his gaze lingering on No. 2 for a moment, and a slight movement stirred in his heart.

Previously, bringing Revenge and Safeguard back to the real world resulted in both Decepticon detectives suffering significant injuries due to an inexplicable conflict with Ada Wong in San Jose.

So this time, when returning to the [Transformers] world, he also brought them along, prepared to enhance them.

The previous experiment on Frenzy was undoubtedly a successful attempt.

With the experience gained, he believed that these Decepticon scouts, who had undergone radiation from the [All Spark] and gained life alongside him, would be able to contribute more effectively after modification.

Without hesitation, he immediately made a generous promise: "Once we return to the base, I will give you an opportunity for enhancement. Come now, let me see the human's response!"

He extended his palm, and No. 2 eagerly jumped onto it, landing in the center of his hand.

"Yes, master!"

Sun Cheng lifted it before him, and with a movement of the Core, two beams of vibrant blue light shot out from its electronic eyes, penetrating into No. 2's Core.

Soon, he extracted all the information he desired from No. 2, including everything it had done during its week-long infiltration at the Yellow River Station. Sun Cheng instantly comprehended it all.

"Hmm? The time is set for 17 days later. Oh, this coordinate? Is the meeting location arranged in the Lop Nur area of Western Xinjiang?"

A brief flicker of blue light shimmered in his eyes, and Sun Cheng's smile grew wider.

Having experienced the events of the [Transformers] world for the past half-year, he was no longer an inexperienced novice. How could he be unaware of the implications behind China's choice?

Lop Nur is situated within the western region of China, and the surrounding area indicated by the coordinates is likely desolate desert terrain.

Choosing this place for the meeting, in essence, was a measure of caution and preparedness against him!

After all, in this world, China is one of the few nations armed with nuclear capabilities on Earth. While the meeting location chosen by the Chinese may be desolate, it is not far from China's former nuclear testing grounds. If Sun Cheng manages to arrive as planned, not only can China use this opportunity to assess his strength, but even if Sun Cheng harbors ill intentions and causes a commotion, the resulting casualties would be minimal.

It's a sensible choice!

"Lop Nur?"

Despite discerning China's calculations, Sun Cheng harbored no anger or dissatisfaction. Instead, he suddenly became intrigued.

If his memory served him correctly, he had previously come across information on the internet regarding the Cybertronians who had once arrived on Earth in ancient times. They had left numerous inscriptions of Cybertronian script on Earth.

If Sun Cheng's recollection was accurate, he had once seen Cybertronian characters engraved on a colossal boulder in a photograph taken by a former Soviet explorer in the Lop Nur area.

The character is still stored in his Core, but because it is an ancient script, Sun Cheng has no way of deciphering the meaning of that character.

"A remote planet located on the edge of the Milky Way, so far away from Cybertron Planet. But why would there be Cybertronians coming to Earth in ancient times? And judging by the number, it should definitely be more than one group, or a few individuals? Is it also to find the [All Spark]? Or is there something else hidden on Earth that attracted them?"

As he pondered he also decided that during his trip to Lop Nur, he would set aside some time to investigate if there were any anomalies with the ancient script left on the giant stones in Lop Nur.

Just as he was contemplating, the Ghost finally managed to cross the Bering Strait before the Russian Navy blocked it.

Since he hadn't been exposed, Sun Cheng was in a very good mood.

However, this happy mood was quickly shattered.

Hephaestus hurriedly ran from the command room to Sun Cheng, looking somewhat panicked.

"Master, the radar has detected something approaching us at an extremely fast speed..."
