Chapter 2 The Bustling Burrow

That night, Maca slept in Xenophilius Lovegood's workspace. He made a wooden bed out of an old door panel that he didn't need anymore. He put two layers of blankets and a sheet on it as a mattress, and covered himself with another blanket. Although this setup may sound a bit shabby, it was actually quite comfortable to sleep on. Maca had a good night's sleep.

The next morning, Luna came to wake him up. To be honest, Maca was used to staying up late and waking up late, so it was difficult for him to change his habits.

"Get up, the sun has already risen," Luna pulled the covers and Maca didn't budge.

"The sun won't rise anymore," Maca mumbled in his sleep.

Luna stared silently at Maca curled up in the covers for a while, and then pulled the covers again - she felt that this was the most she could do.

But Maca obviously didn't respond to this.

After waiting for a few more minutes, Luna turned around and ran downstairs. She seemed to have thought of a good idea.

In a short while, Luna came back up, holding a soft vine-woven basket in her hand. The basket was shaking slightly in Luna's hand, as if there were many small things inside moving around. It seemed that this was the reason why Luna hurried downstairs - the things inside the basket could effectively wake up Maca, or at least that's what Luna thought.

The girl blinked her eyes, then carefully lifted a corner of the covers, and quickly poured everything in the basket into it.

The little things started to move around in the covers, making a soft humming sound.

"Mmm... huh?" Maca seemed to be awakened, but his voice didn't sound right, as if he had a cold, "What... something? Don't..."

The covers started to become restless, shaking and trembling, even the old door panel used as a bed board on the ground started to move.

Sure enough, the hastily-made wooden bed was not very sturdy. With a loud bang, the whole room shook. Then, Maca struggled to open the covers, groaning in pain.

Of course, he still had a heavy nasal voice, which did not change because of the incident.

And the little creatures that caused all this were all hanging on Maca's body at the moment, especially on his face and neck. They hummed happily, jostling on Maca's face, neck, chest, and other places. Some of them even stuck their soft tongues into Maca's nostrils.

"Uh... Atchoo!" Maca shook his head and threw the little things off his face. Then he saw Miss Luna standing on the side, carefully observing this rare scene.

"Fwooper," Luna pointed to the fluffy little things on Maca's body and said dreamily, "They are very friendly towards humans and will hum when happy."

"And, they are easy to feed, they eat everything from leftovers to spiders and mosquitoes. They also love to stick their tongues out and crawl into the noses of sleeping wizards to eat their dried snot."

Maca quickly pinched his nose, because he noticed that several little things were wagging their long tongues, ready to crawl into his nose!

"Okay, okay! This is really an effective alarm clock, so let's put them all away!" Maca pinched his nose and waved his hand casually, then got up from the ground. "Oh, by the way. Good morning, Luna!"

...

Breakfast time passed quickly, or there was nothing much to mention. British food has always been terrible, even in the wizarding world. Moreover, the economic situation of the Lovegood family has always been poor. The sales of their magazine directly led to most of their profits being used as funding for the next issue, leaving very little for their daily lives.

After Luna's father quickly finished his breakfast, he went out to collect materials. Before leaving, he specifically told Luna to go out and explore with Maca. Maca, who was thinking about how to make the Gillyweed tea taste better, didn't pay too much attention.

Luna and her father both liked this drink, but Maca found it difficult to accept. Compared to the colorful fish soup with the same significant pros and cons from last night, this Gillyweed tea, which also had a Lovegood family flavor, clearly only made people feel pain.

"That's quite a powerful drink," Maca sighed, tilting his head back and pouring the liquid down his throat. "So, where are we going?"

Luna gazed off into the distance, lost in thought for a moment before answering, "I'm not sure."

Maca thought for a moment before asking, "Are there any neighbors nearby? I mean, wizard neighbors."

"Well, the closest is the Fawcett family," Luna turned to look out the window. "And further away is Ottery St. Catchpole village, where Mr. Weasley and Mr. Diggle from the Ministry of Magic live."

Maca nodded, and just as he was thinking about visiting another wizard's home to make connections, he suddenly reacted to the name that passed by.

"Weasley?" He looked up at Luna. "Is that the wizard family with all the red hair?"

"Mrs. Molly Weasley isn't," Luna shook her head, her expression distant. "Her hair is brown."

Maca couldn't help but laugh at her response.

"It really is brown," Luna repeated seriously.

"Okay, okay," Maca chuckled, finding Luna's demeanor amusing. "Of course, of course. I mean, how about we go visit the Weasleys?"

Luna shrugged nonchalantly, as if she didn't really care where they went.

"Pop!"

It wasn't long before they had tidied up the dining table and kitchen, and Maca watched as Luna disappeared with a burst of green flames in the somewhat dirty fireplace.

"Okay, grab a handful, say the location, and toss it," Maca muttered as he walked towards the fireplace. Suddenly, he seemed to remember Harry's trip to Knockturn Alley and stopped in his tracks.

"Oh, and make sure you pronounce it correctly," he said.

"Weasley's home." "Pop!"

For some reason, the green flames produced by Maca's usage were much more abundant than Luna's. Fortunately, this special flame reaction did not have the ability to transport inanimate objects, otherwise the surge of magical fire that surged to the ceiling would have moved the entire fireplace to the Weasley's home.

When Maca appeared from the Weasley's fireplace, Luna was talking to Mrs. Weasley.

"Oh! You must be Maca," Mrs. Weasley turned around to greet him as he emerged. "Luna just mentioned you. Welcome to our home."

As she spoke, Mrs. Weasley suddenly walked over and opened the window. "Fred, George, Ron! Come inside, we have two guests!"

Maca craned his neck to take a look and caught sight of a freckled boy holding a bald rat, followed by a slightly shorter boy.

"Fred, give Scabbers back to me! He's Percy's!" the shorter boy said.

"Hey, Ron, wait a minute! I just think he needs some hair growth potion," Fred said.

"Stop arguing! Can't you see we have guests? Can you all just be quiet for a while?" Mrs. Weasley immediately shouted. "Where's George?"

Fred shrugged and said, "Mom, I am George."

"Okay, then where's Fred?" Mrs. Weasley looked confused.

Suddenly, someone pushed the two boys aside, stepped forward, and kept saying, "Hey, Mom! I'm George, you got us mixed up again."

Mrs. Weasley's face immediately changed, and a new round of scolding began, while Luna laughed like a maniac on the side, unable to stop.

Maca looked at the scene in front of him and couldn't help but sigh and hold his forehead.

"I'm sorry, uh... Mr. Maca?" A weak voice suddenly sounded from the other side of the fireplace behind Maca. "Our house is always noisy."

Maca heard the voice and turned around, discovering that the speaker was a girl with the same red hair as the others, but she looked a little younger than the other children.

"Ah, it's no big deal. I'm just not used to such lively scenes," he guessed that the girl in front of him was probably the youngest child in the Weasley family - Ginny.

Maca looked at her and then glanced back at the three boys who were being scolded by Mrs. Weasley, sighing again. He couldn't understand how this family could produce such diverse siblings with extreme personalities.

The eldest, Bill, always had a rock and roll vibe, Percy was wild and extremely concerned with his image, Fred and George loved to play pranks, and even Ron had a tendency towards self-doubt.

Only the second son, Charlie, and the youngest, Ginny, were relatively normal.

Of course, he wasn't sure if his memories were correct, as it had been too long and he couldn't remember clearly.

"Anyway, thank you for your concern, Miss Ginny," Maca said with a smile.

Ginny looked at Maca strangely. Had someone mentioned her to him? She hadn't even introduced herself yet.

"Alright, enough scolding. Let's go and greet our guest," Mrs. Weasley finally ended her long lecture and called her children to come over.

The cottage became a little quieter, with only Luna still laughing uncontrollably, her awkward laughter echoing in the room.
