Chapter 342: Chaos at the City Academy

Civilians outside the police station ran in fear, trying to escape from the increasingly close explosions. Some who were near the source of the blast were thrown back, their bodies hurled by unimaginable force.

Horrific burns gnawed at their exposed skin, and the sound of screams echoed louder, amplifying the atmosphere filled with panic and chaos.

The fire began to consume, burning room after room, spreading rapidly as if nothing could hold it back.

The already chaotic state of Fortress City 085, which had been disrupted by the breach of the West Gate and the attacks from the Dead and Horror, was now further shaken by this explosion.

The police station, once the command center, was now in ruins, and the chaos that had previously been uncontrollable deepened even further. Fortress City 085 was on the brink of total destruction.

Meanwhile, elsewhere—specifically at the City Academy—tension crept in slowly, infiltrating like a cold breeze enveloping the entire room. Every step taken felt heavy, filled with anxiety.

The Academy's walls, usually sturdy and calm, now seemed to tremble, as if sensing the distant threat. The teachers and staff of the Academy quickly sprang into action, their faces tense and filled with worry.

Their hands trembled as they gave instructions, but their steps remained quick and decisive, reflecting an anxiety that could not be hidden.

"Get inside the stadium! Now!" shouted one of the hurried teachers, his voice nearly drowned out by the panicked gasps emanating from the civilians and students still trapped outside the stadium.

Some students looked confused, while others appeared anxious, gripping each other's hands. They did not know what was happening, but the fear was contagious.

The stadium, once filled with cheerful cheers and laughter, transformed in an instant into an emergency shelter.

The large doors of the stadium, usually tightly closed, were now flung wide open, the sound of the iron doors scraping adding to the tense atmosphere. The security guards, who usually appeared calm, now moved with a speed that quickened the heartbeat.

They checked each person with a firmness that bordered on harshness, their gazes sharp, and their hand movements swift, as if to ensure that no one was overlooked.

Students and civilians were directed inside at an incredible pace, their faces filled with anxiety, some whispering to each other, but their voices drowned out by the thunder of footsteps and increasingly urgent commands.

Inside the stadium, the previously lively atmosphere now felt suffocating. People stood packed together, exchanging glances filled with questions. Some among them tried to calm themselves, though fear was clearly visible on their faces.

This sudden decision was made after the bad news came from the west. The West Gate had been breached. Terrifying creatures—the Dead and Horror—had managed to infiltrate Fortress City 085, ruthlessly tearing through the defensive walls.

Flames soared high into the sky, reflecting a chilling blood-red hue. Screams of suffering echoed throughout the affected area, enveloping every corner with an aura of destruction that could no longer be contained.

Blood spilled onto the ground, forming dark patterns that would freeze in the memory of every surviving witness.

Although the City Academy was quite far from the West District, this emergency situation knew no boundaries.

Danger recognized no space, and the supervisors knew they could not simply stand by. Every passing second felt like a countdown to greater destruction.

The decision to keep everyone inside the stadium was a harsh but necessary step to prevent the worst-case scenario.
