Added 2025-04-21 16:10:37 +0000 UTCSomeone attacked from behind—Reiji knew without needing to turn around.
The deafening silence was suddenly shattered by a subtle vibration that permeated the air.
A chill gripping Reiji's skin signaled an approaching threat.
With extraordinary calmness, Reiji stepped to the left, his body moving with the fluidity of a snake darting between the gaps in the rocks.
With an almost imperceptible motion, Reiji's hard elbow struck the man's jaw, and the dry sound that resembled a snapping twig broke the silence, leaving a lingering sense of horror in the air.
The man's body staggered backward, but before he could recover, Reiji continued his movement.
As Reiji spun in a smooth motion, he swung his right hand toward the man's face, hitting him with the force of a storm that came without warning.
The man's face was sent flying, his body hurled far toward the ship, and "BOOM!" a loud sound reverberated through the air as his body crashed against the ship's wall.
The wood of the ship splintered, a large crack formed, and seawater began to flow in slowly but surely, creating a hissing sound that heightened the tension.
"Damn it! The ship is sinking! Move to another ship! Hurry!" Tatsuya shouted, his voice filled with anger mixed with fear.
Every word that came from Tatsuya's mouth sounded like the cry of a leader starting to lose control.
Reiji stood tall on the surface of the sea, as if he were a god unaffected by the world around him.
With each passing second, the air around Reiji felt heavier, more oppressive, as if the universe itself bowed beneath the power of Reiji's existence.
The morning wind brushed against Reiji's face, blowing his dark clothes that billowed behind him, creating the image of a warrior ready for battle, facing the enemy with unwavering determination.
A moment of silence filled the air, and then, in the blink of an eye, Reiji vanished, leaving a tension that crept into every corner of the ship.
Tatsuya's voice echoed with concern,
"Everyone! Be careful!" Tatsuya's tone was filled with anxiety hidden beneath sharp vigilance.
"Enemy!" shouted someone from the back of the ship, that person's eyes sharp, scanning every movement, hoping to catch a glimpse of Reiji.
But all they found were the remnants of the attack Reiji had delivered.
"No! The enemy is here!" another person shouted, their voice echoing with the panic that was now beginning to spread throughout the ranks of the ship.
All eyes searched, alert in the rising silence, their bodies ready to move.
"The enemy is now here!" shouted another from the fifth row, this voice sounding hoarse and filled with fear.
They never expected that Reiji could move with such terrifying speed, like a shadow that appeared suddenly and vanished just as quickly.
"Damn it! Where is that boy actually?" Tatsuya shouted, his face flushed, clearly frustrated.
Every inch of Tatsuya's expression showed a growing restlessness, wanting to end this tension immediately.
"Calm down! We just need to stay alert," Daiki said with a serious face, his sharp eyes not leaving any movement around him.
"If that boy moves so quickly, we just need to catch him when he appears here. Stay focused."
However, before Daiki could utter the next words, a loud sound erupted, "Baam!"
Daiki's body was thrown to the side, crashing against the ship's mast with a loud thud, creating a cracking sound that shook his entire body.
"Damn! The boy is here!" Tatsuya shouted, his face tensing instantly.
Without hesitation, Tatsuya ran toward the spot where Reiji had appeared, followed closely by Yukina, equally agile.
The two moved in unison, supporting each other with every step.
