ASFUCITWON Chapter 183: The Confusion of the Ninjas

It felt as if the tension was thick in the air, like a fog that could explode at any moment.

As soon as Reiji appeared, several ninjas immediately took notice of him.

A boy, alone, walked casually toward the clan leader's house—without escort, without hesitation.

Some ninjas frowned.

Others exchanged glances, trying to figure out Reiji's identity.

Their gazes were sharp, yet filled with confusion.

Who is this boy? Why isn’t Reiji at the shelter?

But soon, from the shadow of a building, an Anbu appeared.

The man's movements seemed calm, yet clear—he bowed respectfully and then opened the door to Keito's house wide for Reiji.

That moment was like a very unexpected surprise for the guarding ninjas.

They fell silent instantly.

Even the sound of their footsteps vanished.

No one dared to stop Reiji after seeing the Anbu—the symbol of the highest authority under the clan leader—grant him passage.

Reiji stepped inside, neither hurried nor slow.

He removed his sandals with a calm motion, leaving fine dust on the white stone floor.

The air inside Keito's house was warmer, filled with the aroma of old wood slowly burning in the stove, mixed with the sharp scent of ink and sealing paper.

Reiji walked down the main hallway and opened the large door leading to the control room of the Large-Scale Sealing Jutsu.

As soon as the door opened, the air in the room rushed in—dense with chakra energy.

The stone walls were lined with scrolls, projections of seals floating in the air, glowing softly in intricate patterns of blue and purple.

In the center of the room, a large table served as the control hub—where the Sealing Jutsu was directly managed, influencing the entire protection of the island.

Keito stood there, his white cloak fluttering gently due to the swirling energy continuously flowing from the center of the table.

Next to Keito stood several Anbu, their bodies nearly motionless, like statues ready to pounce at any moment.

On the other side, Ise, Fuso, and several of Reiji's other students worked tirelessly.

Their faces were serious, their eyes focused on the constantly changing lines of seals before them.

“Master!” Ise and the students immediately straightened up upon seeing Reiji enter.

Their voices were in unison, filled with respect and admiration.

Keito then turned to Reiji.

A thin smile appeared on Keito's otherwise calm face. “Oh, Reiji?”

“Uncle Keito, how is the situation here?” Reiji asked in a low but clear voice.

Reiji's eyes were fixed on the control table, quickly observing the flow patterns of chakra.

“Everything is under control,” Keito replied. “Your students are remarkable. They control this sealing system like blood flowing through their bodies.”

Above the table, a projection of the battlefield appeared—three large villages attacking the Island's Protective Sealing Jutsu with wave after wave of chakra.

But none of the attacks penetrated.

Every mental or physical strike directed at the seals was repelled with equal force.

The Vortex Island stood like an unshakeable fortress—for now.

Reiji then looked toward Ise, Fuso, and the other students.

The man simply nodded slowly, Ise's fingers still moving over the Sealing Jutsu control table, infusing chakra, reinforcing the boundaries of the seals.

The other students were sweating, but their eyes burned with determination—they knew what was at stake.

Reiji sighed, calm yet heavy.

Though Reiji's face appeared relaxed, his mind was racing far ahead.

This is not over.

Because this was just the beginning of the real war.

Even though Reiji could go out and launch a massive attack—it was not impossible for him—he had no intention of doing so tonight.

Not out of fear or doubt, but for one simple reason: Reiji simply did not like to fight at night.
