TPMITWON Chapter 39: Two Months Since Starting at the Academy
Added 2025-03-17 11:52:41 +0000 UTCTime flew by quickly. Before he knew it, two months had passed since Souta first entered the Ninja Academy. That meant Souta had been in the Naruto world for a full three months—a world he had previously only known from screens and the pages of books.
During this time, Souta had learned a lot, both in class and from personal experience. The Sunagakure Ninja Academy taught various things, although most of the material felt somewhat useless to Souta, who already had a basic understanding of this world. However, there were a few things that truly caught Souta's attention.
One of them was the history and maps of the regions throughout the Land of Wind. Some locations mentioned in the Academy's books had never appeared in the anime, manga, or even the novels that Souta had read in his previous life.
There were many hidden places rarely discussed, ranging from ancient ruins that supposedly held secrets from the era before the ninja villages were formed, to hidden oases known only to the native desert inhabitants. This information was certainly valuable, especially if one day Souta had to travel far or undertake a dangerous mission.
However, learning in class alone was not enough. To become a strong ninja, physical training and chakra control were key. In the past two months, Souta had trained hard. Now, he was able to walk and stick to walls for a full hour without losing his balance or running out of chakra. This was a significant achievement for Souta, but he still felt it wasn't enough.
Souta's mind began to fill with strange ideas that might not have occurred to other Academy students. If walking on walls with his feet could improve chakra control, what if Souta tried to do it with both hands?
Without hesitation, Souta began to try it. The result? Chaos.
Time and again, Souta fell hard, his body hitting the ground mercilessly. His hands sometimes lost their grip, causing his body to roll backward or even fall in an embarrassing position. For several days, Souta's palms were continuously injured, requiring bandages every time he attended classes at the Academy.
However, Souta did not give up. Pain was just part of the process. If one day Souta wanted to fight against a much stronger enemy, small injuries like this were nothing.
Some of you might wonder why Souta didn't immediately try practicing walking on water. Although Sunagakure was a village lacking in water, there were still clean water sources in every home, including in the apartment where Souta lived.
Souta could have used the bathtub as a training ground, but after careful consideration, he chose to perfect his chakra control by walking on walls with his hands first before moving on to the water's surface.
In addition to physical training, there was one other thing Souta was very eager to learn—Kugutsu.
From the beginning, Souta had decided he wanted to be a Kugutsu user ninja. This technique was not only characteristic of Sunagakure but also had great potential in long-range combat. However, Souta soon encountered obstacles. After exploring the Academy's library, Souta realized that the available information was very limited.
The books only contained the history of Kugutsu—its origins, the development of the technique, and famous users from the past—but there were no concrete clues on how to learn it.
Souta's disappointment deepened as he realized that not everyone could access this technique. At first, Souta thought that Kugutsu was a skill taught to all Academy students, but that was not the case.
It was possible that only certain families or ninjas with connections to Kugutsu-using clans were entitled to training. Or perhaps, this technique was only taught when a student reached a certain year in their education at the Ninja Academy.
