TPMITWON Chapter 30: Taking a Short Break

After that, Souta continued to train his chakra by walking on the walls for hours, where he constantly tried to improve his endurance and balance.

Due to being too focused on training, Souta rarely met with Pakura. They only occasionally saw each other during breakfast or dinner, but most of their time was spent apart.

Days passed, until only two days remained before they entered the Ninja Academy.

Souta gazed at the night sky from his bedroom window, feeling satisfied with what he had achieved so far. He knew there was still much to learn, but one thing was certain—Souta had tried his best.

And Souta would continue to strive until he truly became a great ninja.

...

...

...

The scorching desert sun began to reveal its rays over the horizon, flooding the village of Sunagakure with dazzling golden light.

Fine grains of sand carried by the wind danced in the air, creating a thin, misty veil between the characteristic clay and stone buildings.

Inside an apartment building made entirely of a mixture of sand and compacted clay, a boy woke up with a lazy expression. The boy's dark blue hair was tousled, with a few strands covering his forehead, while his deep black eyes still looked sleepy. The boy yawned widely, then stretched his slightly stiff body after a night’s sleep.

"Uwaaahhh... It's morning, huh?" the boy mumbled with the hoarse voice typical of someone just waking up.

Souta, the name of the boy, sat on the edge of a simple wooden bed with a thin mattress that was starting to wear out. Souta rubbed his eyes slowly before finally smiling faintly, his awareness gradually returning.

"Tomorrow... tomorrow is the day I start my journey as a student of the Ninja Academy," Souta said softly, a hint of enthusiasm evident in his tone. "Hehe... I can't wait."

Souta jumped down from the bed, his steps light and relaxed. The small room where Souta lived had only basic furniture—a low wooden table, a simple wardrobe, and a narrow window facing the outside corridor of the apartment. The dry desert air slipped in through the cracks in the walls, carrying the distinctive scent of sand.

Without much thought, Souta walked toward the living room of his apartment, which was not far from his room. The room was not large, just enough for a small dining table and a few rickety chairs.

There was no luxury here, only functionality. Souta stepped into the kitchen, which was just a small corner with a sand shelf and a simple fire stove. However, before he could do anything, Souta turned to the bathroom to clean himself up first.

The cold water touched Souta's skin, making him shiver for a moment. Sunagakure was indeed hot during the day, but early in the morning like this, the temperature was still quite low. Souta wiped his face, enjoying the refreshing sensation before finally finishing and putting on simple clothes—a short-sleeved black collared shirt and fitted black pants.

Today, Souta decided not to do any stretching or training. Tomorrow was an important day, so it was better for him to fully rest his body. With that decision, Souta left his apartment, walking leisurely as he allowed himself to enjoy the morning atmosphere in Sunagakure.

The village streets were still quiet, with only a few merchants starting to set up their stalls. The wind blew gently, carrying sparkling grains of sand illuminated by the sunlight. Souta walked along the stone-paved streets that had been compacted by time and the footsteps of many people.
