Chapter 308: Quite a Lot

Meanwhile, the audience watching through the live broadcast began to murmur—especially the women who couldn't hide their captivated expressions.

"What is Haruto really doing?" Pricilla still felt curious, although her face was slightly flushed. "Teacher Luna, can you explain that plant?"

"That's Whriss," Luna replied flatly. "A rare plant that only grows in rivers and is hard to find. Whriss will disappear as soon as heavy rain occurs, which is why it's so rare for anyone to obtain it."

Pricilla stared at Haruto, who was still standing in the river, drenched. "Haruto seems to be very knowledgeable... and... Haruto has quite a nice body...?"

The last sentence from Pricilla was spoken more softly, almost a whisper, but the microphone near her managed to pick up the murmur very clearly.

For a moment, silence fell over the academy stadium, before laughter and cheers echoed throughout Fortress City 085. Pricilla's eyes widened in panic.

"Ah! That’s not what I meant! Don’t get me wrong!" Pricilla hurriedly waved her hands, trying to explain herself.

"... Yes, that kid does have a nice body," Luna said casually. "After all, Haruto has been moving non-stop for the last two hours since the event started, and look at him, he doesn’t seem tired at all."

"That's right! Just like Teacher Luna said! Haha..." Pricilla laughed awkwardly, trying to cover her embarrassment. However, the audience didn't easily believe Pricilla, making her even more frustrated.

...

Meanwhile, Haruto had left the river and was strolling leisurely through the forest. Tall trees towered around him, casting long shadows that moved with the direction of the wind. Haruto remained alert, carefully listening to the sounds around him.

Suddenly, hurried footsteps could be heard from a distance. Haruto turned and saw a male student running towards him with a panicked expression, the boy's breath coming in gasps.

"Help! Help me!" the student shouted. "Someone is chasing me!"

Haruto raised an eyebrow and then looked behind the student.

From behind the trees, several large wolves appeared, their eyes gleaming with murderous intent. Their breaths were heavy, and their sharp fangs dripped with saliva, ready to tear into their prey.

Without much hesitation, Haruto reached into his Storage Bag and pulled out several strange, round fruits of a striking orange color.

"Hey, catch this!" Haruto said as he threw three of them towards the frightened student.

The student panicked and tried to catch them, but only managed to grab two. One fruit fell to the ground, and instantly—

"BOOM!"

A small explosion occurred, releasing a powder that quickly spread into the air. The student coughed and then immediately lost consciousness, while the wolves chasing the boy also collapsed to the ground, their bodies limp. Within seconds, they were all unconscious.

Haruto approached casually, his eyes remaining as cold as ever. "So easy to fool," Haruto muttered in a flat tone.

Without hesitation, Haruto bent down and pulled the Storage Bag from the boy's waist. Swiftly, he took out all the plants that the young man had collected.

"Quite a lot," Haruto said with an impressed tone before putting everything into his own bag.

The student was still unconscious and had no understanding of what had just happened, but before the boy could wake up and react further—

"Thank you for the plants you provided," Haruto said with a thin smile. "I will make sure to be ranked first... so, you better go back."

Without waiting for a response, Haruto punched the boy's chest with an open palm. A silvery-blue light enveloped the young man's body before he vanished in a flurry of light.
