Chapter 305: Sofia Darta

The girl swung her hand, and a pillar of ice formed in the air. However, she did not use it to attack—instead, the pillar continued to extend, creating a new pathway that took her further out of the snake's reach.

As soon as the girl reached the branch of the giant tree, she quickly moved, her hand reaching for something among the thick leaves. A round fruit of deep red color hung from one of the branches. Without hesitation, she plucked the fruit, complete with the branch that held it.

Below, the giant snake was once again trying to chase her, but the girl did not remain idle. Once again, she created another ice pillar that continued to extend, using it as a path to glide far away from the tree.

The snake let out a roar so loud that it echoed throughout the forest. The sound vibrated the air, startling and frightening many other participants in the competition.

...

...

In the observation room, a large screen displayed the actions of the girl. A young woman with long silver hair watched the screen intently. It was Pricilla, the commentator for the event, and at that moment, she could not hide her astonishment.

"Incredible! Sofia Darta from Class C, Year Three, is doing something truly surprising!" Pricilla exclaimed enthusiastically, her voice echoing in the room.

Next to Pricilla, an adult woman with blue hair and a calm expression watched without much change on her face. Luna, one of the teachers at the academy, simply sighed before responding.

"What exactly is Sofia Darta doing? What did she take that made her face that giant snake?" Pricilla asked with great curiosity.

Luna stared at the screen with a flat expression before finally answering.

"That is a Blatru Fruit. This fruit is very rare, only growing on giant trees that have lived for decades to hundreds of years. The function of this fruit is as a natural compass that can guide its holder to places where various poisonous plants are located. If the fruit is black, it means there are poisonous plants nearby, while if it is red, then there are no poisonous plants around."

Pricilla's eyes widened. "Is there really such a strange fruit? How fascinating!"

However, after a moment, Pricilla furrowed her brow and asked again, "But do you think Sofia can defeat that boy you mentioned earlier? Haruto?"

Luna smiled faintly and said in a calm tone, "No. Even Sofia will not win. That boy, Haruto, has far more experience and in-depth knowledge of plants. The winner of this competition is already certain, unless something unexpected happens."

Pricilla was about to respond, but suddenly her eyes caught something on the screen. She was startled and exclaimed, "Huh? What is this?!"

On the screen, Haruto was seen hiding behind a bush, his sharp eyes watching another student who was walking alone in the forest.

...

...

...

Haruto was hiding behind a large tree trunk, his body almost blending in with the dark shadow created by the lush leaves above him. The air in the forest was humid and filled with the scent of wet earth and decaying leaves.

At that moment, Haruto was observing a male student who was cautiously stepping toward a small clearing hidden among the large trees.

In the center of the clearing, a cluster of deep purple flowers with broad petals appeared to be blooming perfectly. The sunlight that managed to penetrate the gaps in the leaves illuminated the flowers, making them look radiant in a captivating way. As if emanating a mysterious aura, the petals of the flowers moved slowly as if they were breathing.
