TSSITWON Chapter 195: Aoki's Goal Towards Amegakure
Added 2025-02-10 12:11:26 +0000 UTCThere are three main reasons.
First, Nagato is an important part of Madara's grand plan. This means that Nagato's movements and those around him are certainly being monitored. Yahiko and Konan, as Nagato's closest associates, are also under surveillance.
Second, Aoki does not have a DNA sample of Yahiko. Without it, it is impossible for Aoki to create a perfect clone body to replace Yahiko.
Third, the biggest issue—Nagato's Rinnegan.
That eye is not just a power for Nagato, but also a tool that connects Nagato with the extraordinary ability to transform Yahiko's body.
If Aoki tries to replace Yahiko with a clone, then when the time comes for Nagato to resurrect Yahiko's body as Pain, Nagato might realize that it is not Yahiko's original body.
Aoki let out a long sigh.
Aoki knows his limitations.
Aoki is not a God who can change fate at will. Aoki is also not the main character of a fanfic novel with an overpowered system that can twist the storyline as he pleases. Aoki is not someone who can resurrect the dead or create miracles without consequences.
He is just Aoki Sora.
Someone who is trying to survive with the abilities he possesses.
Someone who is aware that there are things that cannot be changed, no matter how hard Aoki tries.
And Yahiko's death... is one of them.
But before that happens—before history carves a tragic fate for that young man—Aoki wants to see Yahiko with his own eyes.
Just once.
That is all Aoki wants.
"Is there anything else you need, Chairman?" Akarin asked in a soft yet respectful voice.
Aoki sighed softly while looking at the scroll in his hand. "Not for now... Oh, wait." Aoki placed the scroll on the table and stood up from his seat. "Tell Kurisu to continue monitoring the developments of the Third Shinobi World War."
Akarin nodded. "Understood, Chairman. Is there anything else?"
"Hmm..." Aoki walked to the corner of the room, reaching for the Akuma mask hanging on the wall. "Also tell Kurisu that I will be gone for a while."
"Alright." Akarin nodded.
Aoki looked at Akarin for a moment before adding, "And one more thing. Start training Rin. Rin has started to improve, right? While I'm away, train Rin in Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and Kenjutsu. That's all."
"Understood, Chairman. I will arrange training for Miss Rin right away," Akarin replied in a professional tone.
Aoki put on his mask and walked out without looking back. "Then, I’ll take my leave."
...
...
...
Aoki stepped out of his room with a steady stride, walking down the long corridor of the hidden Kisatsutai headquarters. The air inside the headquarters felt cool, and the dim lighting from the lanterns mounted along the walls created a calm yet vigilant atmosphere.
As Aoki passed by, the women who were members of Kisatsutai immediately stopped their activities and bowed their heads respectfully.
"Safe travels, Chairman!" said one member with a voice full of admiration.
"May your journey be smooth, Chairman Aoki," added another.
Aoki responded to their greetings with a small nod and a calm gaze. Aoki was indeed rarely seen at the headquarters, but every member knew Aoki. Not only because of Aoki's status as a leader, but also because Aoki had saved them all from various dire situations in the past. Their respect and admiration for Aoki were not mere formalities, but stemmed from genuine gratitude.
After Aoki walked past the main corridor, he finally arrived at the exit—a secret door hidden within a giant tree that had stood for hundreds of years. With a light push, the wood in front of Aoki moved, revealing a narrow passage leading outside.
