Once he arrived in the living room, the boy paused for a moment, his eyes scanning the surroundings with a confused expression.
This building… everything is made of sand.
"So, this whole place is really just compacted sand?"
However, something even stranger caught the boy's attention.
His eyes were immediately drawn to a door at the end of the room. Without thinking twice, he stepped closer to the door. But as he got a better look at it, his eyes widened.
"Even this door... is made of sand?!"
The boy's confusion deepened. How could something like this exist? How could a door, which should be solid, be made of sand?
With a look of astonishment, the boy approached and examined the details of the door. His eyes caught something—a key hanging in the keyhole.
Carefully, the boy reached out, his fingers trembling slightly as he touched the key. He then took a deep breath before slowly turning it.
"Click."
The door opened.
And the view outside left the boy even more astonished.
The entire village, as far as the eye could see, was made of sand. Towering buildings, streets, even the apartment he was in—all made from compacted sand.
"Damn... Is this even possible? But how? What could create all of this?"
The boy's bewildered gaze continued to sweep the surroundings, his mind struggling to comprehend the logic behind it all.
However, unbeknownst to him, a door next to his apartment room suddenly opened.
A voice interrupted the boy's thoughts.
"Can you be quiet?"
The boy's body instantly tensed.
His heart raced, and awkwardly and cautiously, he turned toward the source of the voice.
There stood a little girl.
The girl had pale skin with brown, pupil-less eyes. Her green hair was tied into a bun on top of her head, with a hairpin piercing through the bun. A few strands of short and long hair with orange tips framed both sides of her face.
She wore a sleeveless top with an open back and tight shorts that showcased her figure. There were two small collars at the front and back, completing her appearance. Additionally, she wore an obi around her waist, purple arm warmers extending to her shoulders, and bandages wrapped around her tight shorts and ankles.
Seeing the girl, the boy froze in place. The shock was so great that he fell silent, seemingly at a loss for words for a moment.
"Um... Umph!" The little girl walked down the stairs with light steps.
Only after she disappeared from view did the boy's expression finally change.
"Wasn't that... Wasn't that Pakura?" the boy murmured softly, his face still filled with astonishment.
The boy was Souta, or more precisely, Souta Tetsu. However, instead of dying in a workplace accident due to a massive explosion, Souta now found himself in the body of a boy named Souta—without a last name. Even more surprising, Souta realized that he had been reborn in the world of Naruto after his death.
As someone familiar with this story, Souta couldn't hide his surprise. Not only was Souta in Sunagakure, the weakest and poorest of the Five Great Villages, but he was also living in the same apartment as Pakura—even having a room adjacent to hers!
