Chapter 275: Is That True?

The number of Soul Collector members visible at this headquarters is very large, far more than they had previously suspected.

Haruto had destroyed one of the Soul Collector's headquarters a few months ago, but that only involved a few dozen to hundreds of members. However, here, the number reaches into the thousands. The members are busy moving around, most of them fully armed and looking very organized. Some of them are carrying large crates that seem to contain equipment or mysterious materials.

If this is just the headquarters of one of the four high-ranking members of the Soul Collector, then the total number of members in this organization could reach tens of thousands. Haruto will definitely face a significant challenge if he wants to destroy this organization as a whole.

As they walked, the two Shadow Clones observed the signs hanging on the walls and at the intersections of the corridors. Each sector is clearly labeled in capital letters. The elevator they had come down from was in sector H, and to reach sector D, they had to pass through several other sectors, each with different functions.

After a few minutes of walking, they finally arrived at sector D. Here, the atmosphere felt more tense. The guards stationed in this sector appeared more alert, with sharp gazes and ready postures.

They quickly approached the main inspection building, which was guarded by several people. The building was simple but looked sturdy, with a large iron door and two guards standing in front of the inspection building.

One of the guards in front of the building stared at them suspiciously, his eyebrows furrowing. "What’s going on?" the man asked in a sharp tone.

The taller Shadow Clone immediately responded, trying to sound casual yet firm. "This, one of the guards asked us to deliver this to the guard stationed in front of the inspection building in sector D," the Shadow Clone explained while handing over the small bag they were carrying.

The guard looked at the bag for a few seconds before nodding. "Ah, I see," the man said as he took the bag. The guard did not immediately open it, just holding the small bag with one hand and glancing at the two Shadow Clones.

"You’re done. Return to your sector," the guard added while gesturing with his chin.

The two Shadow Clones nodded respectfully and quickly stepped away, pretending to head towards the exit. However, instead of actually leaving sector D, they sneaked into one of the dark corners, trying to find a way to gather more information without drawing attention.

The two Shadow Clones walked slowly, exploring further into the vast underground area. Occasionally, they heard snippets of conversation from the guards talking. Some information seemed unimportant, but they still noted everything in their memory to report back to Haruto.

However, as they passed a building with a slightly open wooden door, they faintly heard a conversation that piqued their interest. The two Shadow Clones exchanged glances, their eyes indicating that they agreed to investigate further.

With careful steps, they entered the building, which turned out to be a simple canteen. The atmosphere inside was lively, with several guards enjoying their meals at long tables lined up. The smell of warm food mixed with the sound of lively conversation made this place seem like a rest center for the guards.

However, their focus quickly shifted to two men in the corner of the room who were talking in serious tones. Their conversation sounded more intriguing than the usual chatter. The Shadow Clones approached casually, trying to blend in with the atmosphere.

"Hey, I heard you guys are discussing something interesting. Is that true?" one of the Shadow Clones asked in a casual yet curious tone.
