"I understand, alright. Let’s go," Cristine finally agreed, though her curiosity still hadn’t been satisfied.
The two of them walked down a quieter path, but the people who had been observing them earlier immediately began following from behind. They didn’t know who these people were, but Cristine felt something different this time.
"They’re coming," Cristine whispered to Criegh, her voice now sharper, signaling that Cristine was ready for whatever might come next.
"I understand," Criegh replied briefly. In an instant, Criegh activated his Mist Transfer ability. A thick mist quickly appeared, surrounding them and enveloping their bodies in an instant.
Moments after the mist surrounded them, Criegh and Cristine vanished from the spot, disappearing into the swirling fog.
However, unbeknownst to them, a small stone was lifted along with the mist. The stone was one of the clones that had transformed into a rock, silently following their trail, moving undetected by both of them.

Criegh and Cristine teleported to a location in the Southern District using Criegh’s Mist Transfer ability.
Although one of their research sites in the Southern District, in the slums, had been attacked previously, they still decided to build a new facility there.
This decision wasn’t an easy one, but as the wise often say, "If you place a building in the same spot, the person who destroyed your building before may not think you would place a new one there."
That was the reason they chose the Southern District, a seemingly unremarkable and unnoticed slum area, as their residence and operational base.
Currently, Criegh and Cristine were heading toward a small building that appeared ordinary on the outside but played a crucial role inside. The building was located in a quiet corner of the Southern District.
When they arrived, several guards outside immediately stood at attention and showed respect. Without a word, they motioned for Criegh and Cristine to enter.
Once inside the building, the atmosphere immediately felt different. The interior was a spacious room that seemed more like a warehouse, though various people could be seen working busily inside.
Some people glanced at them with respectful gazes. In the center of the room, there was a strange rectangular box placed on the ground.
Criegh and Cristine walked toward the box. The people inside the room immediately paid their respects to the two of them, recognizing them as the Captain and Vice-Captain of Arde’s group.
When the rectangular box was opened, inside was a large lift connected to a basement. Without hesitation, Criegh and Cristine stepped into the lift. As soon as the lift began descending, the atmosphere below was a stark contrast to the one above.
Upon reaching the bottom, they found an extremely vast space. The area was filled with thousands of people—perhaps three to five thousand—working there.
Most of them appeared to be busy with their tasks, while others paused for a moment to observe Criegh and Cristine’s arrival. Their gazes were filled with awe and respect.
Every time Criegh and Cristine walked, the people they passed immediately bowed or offered their respects, as if aware of the immense influence the two of them held.
Upon reaching their destination, Criegh immediately began taking out various explosives from the small bag he carried.
