F/VoH Ch 143: Contacting Amanda

Ryan went downstairs, where he found Rosseline sitting quietly in the living room, busy writing in her notebook. Without saying much, Ryan approached Rosseline and nodded slightly.

"Rosseline," Ryan called briefly.

Rosseline immediately turned and realized what he was going to ask. "What is it, Young Master?"

Ryan continued in a flat voice, "Give me your Magic Handphone."

Rosseline did not argue, as if she had been waiting for that command. She quickly took the device from her bag and handed it to Ryan without asking further.

"Thank you," Ryan said as he took the phone and hurried back upstairs to his room.

Upon entering the room, Ryan quickly locked the door. Without wasting any time, he drew the curtains, ensuring no light could enter and disturb his conversation. In the quiet atmosphere, Ryan sat at the desk and activated the Magic Handphone.

Once the connection was established, Cheonghee's voice came through on the other end, slightly surprised to hear Ryan's voice immediately giving instructions.

"Cheonghee, contact Amanda. Tell Amanda that I have obtained significant information—a nobleman in Crigh Village has just raped a woman. That will be our first target."

Cheonghee was silent for a moment, shocked to hear the information. "Are you serious?" Cheonghee's voice sounded a bit anxious. "I didn't expect you to get this information so quickly. It's strange, but I will relay this to Amanda right away."

Ryan simply nodded, even though Cheonghee couldn't see his movement. "Just do it. Don't ask too many questions."

After a few seconds, Cheonghee's voice came through again. "Okay, I will contact Amanda now."

Ryan waited for a moment, feeling the pent-up tension. A little while later, Amanda's voice was heard, and Ryan could sense the worry behind her words.

"What did you find?" Amanda asked, her voice serious yet filled with surprise.

"Just as I told Cheonghee," Ryan replied firmly. "A nobleman in Crigh Village, that man raped a woman. This information is quite valuable, and we will make that man our first target."

Amanda was silent for a moment, then a heavy sigh was heard from her end. "That's... unexpected. Alright, I will arrange our next steps. This will be our first target."

Ryan nodded once again, even though Amanda couldn't see his nod. "Good. The sooner, the better."

However, Ryan could sense that there was something Amanda had not yet said. It seemed Amanda was curious but did not ask directly. Ryan was not surprised. Amanda knew very well when to hold back.

"Actually, I'm curious," Amanda began, her voice a bit cautious. "Where did you get this information? No one knows about the incident out there."

Ryan smiled slightly, even though Amanda couldn't see it. "No need to worry about that. What matters is what we do with this information."

Amanda huffed softly, clearly a bit frustrated, but she knew Ryan was not the type to easily open up. "Alright, I won't ask further."

On the other side, Cheonghee also rejoined the conversation. "Ryan, how about our developments? We have managed to deal with the intruders in the Red District."

Ryan nodded upon hearing the report. "Good, that means the higher-ups there won't leak any further information."

"There are still a few that are not fully under control," Cheonghee continued cautiously. "However, we have managed to reduce the major risks. Other matters are still under surveillance."

Ryan pondered for a moment, and although Cheonghee did not say everything, he knew Cheonghee was trying to cover up greater concerns.

On the other hand, Amanda, hearing Ryan's question, immediately replied, "We are still handling that here. There has been progress, although not as fast as we hoped. But we can still manage it."
