F/VoH Ch 122: This is Your Food

Ryan observed the expression for a moment, then turned to Charlotte, who was also starting to blush.

Ryan furrowed his brow, clearly confused. “What’s wrong? Why aren’t you joining?”

Charlotte finally mustered the courage to speak, though her voice was shaky. “Master… we… our lower bodies… still feel sore. This is the first time for me and Senior Ellina, so… um… we’re having a bit of trouble moving. Because of that, maybe you could eat by yourself… or with Rosseline.”

Ryan looked at both of them for a moment, seeming to understand. “Ah… I see.” Ryan nodded, trying not to look any further. However, instead of leaving, Ryan turned back and climbed back onto the bed.

This left Ellina and Charlotte confused; they exchanged glances, trying to understand what was on Ryan's mind.

Ryan approached Ellina, then gently kissed her forehead. The warm touch made Ellina's cheeks flush again, her breath caught, while Ryan then turned to kiss Charlotte's forehead. Charlotte was momentarily surprised, her face turning red, but there was a subtle smile she couldn’t hide.

“I’m sorry,” Ryan said in a calm voice that was almost a whisper, his gaze attentive. “I’ll bring food for you. If you need anything, just let me know, okay?”

Ellina and Charlotte looked at Ryan for a moment before answering in unison, their voices soft and almost trembling. “...We understand.”

Ryan nodded and stepped out of the room, leaving the two of them in a quiet atmosphere. Once the door closed, Ellina and Charlotte lowered their heads, their faces flushing in unison.

“… Master is just too… cute like that…” Charlotte whispered, her voice barely audible, as if speaking to herself.

“Yeah… Young Master Ryan really does look very handsome when he shows that gentle side…” Ellina added softly, her face blushing deeper.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Ryan arrived at the dining room connected to a terrace overlooking the beach. There, several people were enjoying their meals under the bright sunlight. The atmosphere was comfortable—not too crowded, but lively enough with small talk here and there.

“Hey, how are you?” a familiar teasing voice came from Rosseline, who was sitting near the window. Seeing Ryan, Rosseline smiled mischievously, her expression hinting at her intention to tease. Rosseline knew that Ryan had just made Charlotte and Ellina upset earlier, so she didn’t miss the opportunity to poke fun at him.

“… I’m fine,” Ryan replied with a calm expression that surprised Rosseline a little. “But Ellina and Charlotte need to rest for a bit.”

Rosseline looked at Ryan with raised eyebrows, genuine confusion evident on her face. It wasn’t just because of his flat tone, but Ryan seemed different—cold and composed, as usual. Earlier, Rosseline had caught a glimpse of Ryan’s human side, but now, he was back to being calm and unshakeable, as if something within him had returned to normal.

“What’s wrong?” Ryan asked, looking at Rosseline with slight confusion as she didn’t respond immediately.

“Ah… nothing,” Rosseline replied, trying to dispel her confusion with a strange smile. She observed Ryan for a moment, searching for signs of emotion behind his calm face, but Ryan had already turned away, appearing indifferent.

Ryan ignored Rosseline’s strange expression and quickly went to order food. Once the food was ready, Ryan took the tray and returned upstairs, walking calmly down the hallway toward the room where Ellina and Charlotte were waiting.

“This is your food,” Ryan said as he entered, his voice still gentle. He placed the tray beside the bed. The two women sat up slowly, still feeling sore but smiling at Ryan’s return.
