Meanwhile, Kakuzu began preparing his destruction strategy. Skillfully, Kakuzu attached Explosive Tags to his wire, filling it with a thousand explosives that would detonate simultaneously.
"Understood," Kabuto said briefly before leaping forward to confront the remaining enemies. With his swift kunai attacks, Kabuto managed to push the hybrid creatures and the Smiling Masked Men away from Kakuzu.
Now free to move, Kakuzu quickly threw a kunai at the giant tube. The wire, wrapped with Explosive Tags, shot forward at lightning speed, tightly encasing the tube, ready to explode. Without a second thought, Kakuzu and Kabuto quickly retreated, preparing to witness the destruction.
However, seeing their enemies retreat, Doctor Klezy's instincts immediately kicked in. His eyes were fixed on the giant tube. "No! They will destroy this place!" Doctor Klezy thought, panic etched on his face. The awareness of the impending danger was becoming suffocating for Doctor Klezy.
"Viona! Get me out of here now!" Doctor Klezy shouted desperately. He then turned to a muscular woman, gripping Viona's arm tightly, his eyes filled with fear. Although Doctor Klezy wasn't sure what would happen, the feeling of lurking danger was becoming increasingly real.
Tense moments passed, and then a massive explosion shattered the air.
The entire headquarters of the Lost Ruler organization shook violently. Cracking sounds echoed all around, like a giant writhing beneath the ground. The more fragile corridors collapsed in an instant, walls trembled, and the ceiling above began to crack before finally crashing down, raining debris into the room.
The room where Kakuzu and Kabuto had previously fought was now nothing more than ruins. The wide entrance had narrowed, leaving only a gap large enough for one person to pass through. Piles of large stones covered most of the space, breaking the area into a battlefield filled with rubble and ash.
The air felt heavy, filled with dust and the burnt aroma from the previous explosion. All the equipment and futuristic items that had once adorned the room were now buried beneath the massive boulders.
However, amidst this chaos, Kakuzu and Kabuto stood firm. Even though the rubble nearly buried them alive, their ability to control the situation demonstrated years of experience in facing crises.
Kakuzu's Chakra wires were neatly woven among the debris, forming a temporary structure strong enough to support the weight of the large stones. Meanwhile, Kabuto used his abilities to maintain balance, holding back the rocks that were about to crush them.
Now, as the rumble of destruction subsided, the atmosphere turned silent, leaving only the sound of debris occasionally falling from above. Kakuzu and Kabuto moved cautiously among the ruins, surveying the room that was now completely destroyed.
Their gazes swept around, inspecting the remnants of what was once a grand headquarters. Almost nothing was recognizable anymore—the entire place had turned into a grave of stone and dust.
"We survived...," Kabuto murmured flatly, though there was an implied tension behind his words.
"Fortunate? Perhaps. But this isn't over," Kakuzu replied in his hoarse voice, his eyes narrowing as he stared toward the further ruins. "We haven't found what we're looking for."
Not long after, heavy footsteps echoed from behind the rubble. The dust lingering in the air parted as a presence approached. From the remaining darkness in the room, four long-awaited figures emerged. Orochimaru appeared first, a sly smile adorning his face.
Beside Orochimaru, Kisame with Samehada protruding from his shoulder, while Itachi walked calmly behind them, his Sharingan eyes glowing in the darkness. Lastly, Obito emerged with his distinctive mask, a mysterious aura enveloping their presence.
