2024-08-25 13:59:07 +0000 UTCI completely understand that but I don’t think it’s something you need to worry about. I think you underestimate how enthralled we all are with you. Many years ago I was invited to the Storytelling Festival that is held annually near Telford. I was there because of the work I was doing at the time and got to spend the weekend with the storytellers in the barn they were staying in. Anyway one of the people I went to watch that weekend was a woman who was on the main stage in a massive marquee. The marquee was crammed, every seat taken and loads of people standing or sitting in the isles. The storyteller weaves a tale that focused on a £1 coin. Every time the coin exchanged hands for something we would focus on the new owner’s personal life, triumphs and problems. Then as the coin moved to a different person we discovered that person’s life and personal tragedies. I was there with my family and had my daughter, who was about 4 at the time, sitting on my lap. An hour is a long time for a 4 year old to sit still so after about 30 minutes she started wriggling, which snapped my attention away from the story. I looked around the tent and saw about 1000 people who were absolutely spell bound. Everyone of them was completely captivated by the story… it was a sort of magic. A spell binding, and I only became aware of it because something had intruded on my captivating too. Anyway the point of this tale is to explain to you that we are all completely captivated by you. I think it would take a huge amount to break the enchantment you have cast over us.
