About the rushed Sirius death. Yes, in the book it's also kind of rushed during the battle, except for the fact that we know Harry's thoughts during that whole thing, so at least we process that a little bit more. But the action continues so it's still "rushed". The thing is that in the book, after returning to Hogwarts, Harry has a whole "beginning to grieve" chapter (maybe more than one) where he even talks to Nearly Headless Nick, the ghost, about "life after death" and whether Sirius could came back as a ghost. The movie unfortunately decided to cut that, leaving us with no time to grieve together with Harry.

"I was definitely shocked that Dumbledore was able to hold his own for as long as he did". This is one of the reasons why the Dumbledore vs Voldemort duel at the end of this movie bothers me. Yes it's visually stunning, but it conveys the exact opposite of what the books show. In the book, Dumbledore doesn't even break a sweat against Voldemort. We see Voldemort trying his hardest to kill Dumbledore, but Dumbledore just shrugs off everything Voldemort does. Throughout all the books we keep hearing from people how Dumbledore is the only wizard that Voldemort ever feared and in this chapter we finally see why. As powerful as Voldemort is, he has NO chance against Dumbledore. He's just THAT powerful. But in the movie, Dumbledore seems to barely match Voldemort and that pisses me off 😅
This movie was directed by David Yates. He also directs all the subsequent HP movies and, in my opinion, he's a horrible director. He does action scenes well enough (when he doesn't misinterpret them or takes weird liberties like he did in this movie), but any scene that's not action is stiff and boring and just badly directed in general.
And i will never understand why Yates never ever makes Harry's Patronus take the form of a stag (like it does in the books), it's always just a ball of light. But everyone else's Patronus take animal forms. It's just mind blowing how inconsistent magic is in all movies, but especially in Yates' movies.

Sorry to spam your comments... In Chamber when Lucius Malfoy met Weasley Sr & the Granger parents, at least Malfoy Senior dropped the racial slur. Weasley Sr literally got into a fist fight with Lucius on Diagon Alley outside the book store.
In the begining, Vernon grabbed Harry by the neck & was choking him for having his wand out. It was out because someone was supposed to be looking after him & didn't. Harry was thinking of defending himself. Harry actually picked the fight at the park. The other boys might have been laughing at the bit of wood in Dudleys neck but he wasn't. Yes, Dudley brought up Harry's parents. I would have punched him in the mouth but Dudly had taken up boxing and was supposed to be pretty good.
There was actually 4 or 5 owls that visited the house & one of them was a Howler from Dumbledore to Petunia reminding her of her promise to him to watch Harry. Vernon actually listened to his wife & was going to throw Harry out.
The house of Serious is #13 Grimwald Place. The other residents think it's odd there is no 13.

Umbridge ranks as one of the most evil movie villains of all time.
I can't think of a villain I despise more than her.

Sam hates Umbridge almost as much as she hated that kid from Cobra Kai.
