That is, a certain phone call to Kim from Jimmy/Saul/Viktor/Gene — which he urgently felt compelled to make only after Francesca first told him that Kim had recently asked about him — upset him basically beyond repair. In fact, he became irate enough — obviously due to whatever Kim had said to him during their brief conversation — to then subsequently revert right back to those inner ways within his core self. Thus, in merely an instant, he immediately turned into the old, strategizin', schemin', scammin', "Slippin' Jimmy".
